Galpals Amy Schumer and Jennifer Lawrence joined Billy Joel on stage at his concert at Wrigley Field in Chicago
where the actresses reportedly climbed onto Billy's piano and danced to a performance of
his hit song "Uptown Girl" (a song that also plays a big role in Amy's film Trainwreck).
Amy and Jennifer looked to be

Chicago native rapper/actor Common have been added to the cast of the live musical of The Wiz. He will play the Bouncer, the gatekeeper of the entrance to Emerald City who is out to get what he can from Dorothy and her three friends. NBC boss Bob Greenblatt described the gatekeeper as a “non-singing comedic role.”
The Wiz Live! is executive produced by Craig Zadan and Neil Meron — who also made NBC’s previously high-wire musical telecasts, 2013’s The Sound of Music Live! and last year’s Peter Pan Live! The Wiz Live! is directed by Kenny Leon with Harvey Fierstein providing new written material, and it also marks the first NBC musical to made with Cirque Du Soleil, whose acrobats will be used in certain scenes (such as the tornado and flying monkeys).

The star of Empire, Chicagoan Terrence Howard, may be getting a lot less face time on
the hit Fox show due to his own personal drama.
Terrence Howard is reportedly
getting his role cut back due to divorce proceedings with his ex-wife, Michelle
Ghent, and previous allegations of domestic abuse, according to Page Six.
Howard who plays Lucious Lyon,
the founder and CEO of Empire Entertainment, in the record label drama. As one
of the main protagonists, alongside Taraji P. Henson, it's hard to tell what a
scaled back role will mean for both Howard and his TV character.
Henson's role as Cookie Lyon
will allegedly get larger, according to Page Six's source, while Lucious'
position in prison as well as the many guest stars that will appear on the show
may mean that "the average viewer won't realize it because there is so
much going on." Some of those guestsinclude A-list names like Mariah Carey, Chris Rock and Alicia Keys.
At a press junket in Chicago
over the weekend, which Howard sat out of, Henson told ET that
things with her co-star were "going great," before redirecting the
conversation.
Empire was back in
production when a judge ruled on Howard's divorce proceedings on Monday.
Lets just hope all these celebrity appearance wont water down the brand now that everyone wants to be on the show.
Chicago native soul singer Chaka Khan will be joining season 21
of Dancing With the Stars. It premieres
Monday, Sept. 14 on ABC, and the remaining contestants will be
revealed on Sept. 2 on Good Morning America.
Spike Lee's
new Amazon movie Chiraq will be released in theatres in December. The movie is hoping to be considered for
next year's Academy Awards. Lee just wrapped up filming in Chicago. It's that
city's violence that's' focused on in the film. There was some controversy when
Mayor Rahm Emanuel let his feelings be known he was not in support of the
film's slant, including the title, Chiraq,
which is slang for Chicago violence. Chiraq,
the first release under Amazon Studios, stars newcomer Teyonah Parris, Nick
Cannon, Wesley Snipes, Jennifer Hudson, Angela Bassett, Jon Cusack, Samuel L.
Jackson, La La Anthony and Dave Chappelle.
According to stltoday.com, Sinclair
Broadcast Group, owner of stations including KDNL (Channel 30) in St. Louis,
and Dish network have reached an agreement restoring the stations' signal to
the satellite provider. The stations had been blacked out about 24 hours.
The agreement was reached after the
FCC intervened in the dispute. Terms weren't disclosed.
Sinclair Broadcast Group, owner of
129 stations nationwide including KDNL (Channel 30) in St. Louis, blacked
out its stations on Dish network in a dispute with the satellite provider earlier this week. That
meant Dish subscribers were unable to watch ABC programming and everything
else on KDNL until the situation, which hinges on fees, is resolved.
Dish called the move "the
largest local channel blackout in history of television" and accused
Sinclair of intending to "intentionally exploit millions of innocent
consumers."
The blackout took place at 4 p.m.
Tuesday, a little more than a week after Sinclair's retransmission contract
with Dish expired.
Now everyone can go back to watching judge shows, cooking shows and mind numbing baby daddy shows. LOL
