Maatology Productions is seeking African American male and female actors in the Los Angeles area for its upcoming showcase SNAP HONEY in October. The play is about a famous female impersonator , Vageena Honey, who is retiring from show business and returns home for one final show where she talks of her life. It also consists of a talk show where Vageena is interviewed about her show with the talk show host and secrets are revealed.

Former View co-host Sherri Shepherd, who exited the ABC program in June 2014, returned to her talk show roots on Thursday when she appeared as a guest moderator on the program. It was a very special episode
of ABC’s “The View” that was pre-taped two weeks after the ruling, that she was the legal mother of an 8 month old that she and ex-husband Lamar
Sally had through surrogacy.
Shepherd's open
dialogue started when Raven Symone explained how impatient she was to have
kids, to which Shepherd responded, "Girl, I got one or two you could have
of mine. I will give them to you."
The topic then
changed to the importance of friendship and how it affects relationships, with
Shepherd explaining of her failed marriage, "I actually feel like if I had
listened to my best friends, I wouldn't be having a million attorney’s in my
life right now."
Still, joking about
her struggles wasn't something Shepherd was shy about doing, concluding the
topic of discussion with, "My father still wants to kill my husband… Dad
you're 70 years old. What you going to do now?"

Wow, death threats? Really? We know Ye can be a bit off the chain, but he isnt Hitler.
In other Ye newz, he reportedly settled a
lawsuit with former child soul star Ricky Spicer over the sample that anchorsYeezus hit,
"Bound 2," Billboard reports.
Spicer
initially sued West, Roc-A-Fella Records, Universal Music Group and
Island Def Jam Music Group in December 2013, claiming unauthorized use of his
voice. Paperwork, dated March 6th, was filed to a New York Court on May 11th
discontinuing the suit.
A representative for West declined to
comment on the settlement. An attorney for Spicer did not immediately reply to
a request for comment.
The sample in question was the song's
repeated refrain, "Bound, bound / Bound to fall in love." Spicer
recorded those vocals in 1971 when he was 12 for "Bound," a song
by his former group the Ponderosa Twins Plus One.
The
initial suit claimed, "Mr. Spicer's voice is sampled exactly as he
recorded it and his voice… is heard several times." Spicer demanded
compensation in light of the song's success, which peaked at number 12 on the Billboard Hot
100; the song's popularity was also bolstered by a video featuring West
and a topless Kim Kardashian — as well as James Franco and Seth Rogen's
endearing shot-for-shot remake.

After three grueling days that dispatched 283 spellers with
ruthless efficiency, St Louis, Mo resident Gokul Venkatachalam, 14, of Chesterfield, tied with Vanya Shivashankar, 13, of Olathe, Kansas at the
Scripps National Spelling Bee on Thursday in in the Maryland Ballroom within
the Gaylord National Resort and Convention Center in NATIONAL HARBOR, Md. .
Vanya correctly spelled the word ";scherenschnitte" and Gokul correctly spelled the word "nunatak."
Until last year, the World Series of spellers hadn't seen a
tied win in more than five decades.
Now, it's happened for the second year in a row.Why? There weren't enough words left on the competition's
list for them to keep facing off until only one was left. Gokul and Vanya who each took home a
gigantic trophy and $35,000 in cash prizes.

As previously reported on AccessHollywood.com, the series--which films in Chicago starting in July, will continue to ramp up its star power with appearances by Chris Rock, Alicia Keys and Lenny Kravitz in Season 2.
The Chicago Blackhawks has tied up the NHL Western
Conference against Anaheim Ducks 3-3.
They will play the advancing Game 7 Saturday at the Honda Center in Anaheim, which also will be televised on NBC. The winner

Now, in
anticipation of her clothing-line launch slated for August, McCarthy spoke
candidly with MORE Magazine about how the shopping experience for a
plus-size woman hasn’t seen dramatic improvements .
McCarthy singles out one easily remedied issue, in
particular, that she still faces while shopping: the segregation of plus-size
clothing in department stores.
“People don’t stop at size 12,” she tells MORE. “I feel
like there’s a big thing missing where you can’t dress to your mood above a
certain number. [Malls] segregate plus-size [women]. It’s an odd thing that you
can’t go shopping with your friends because your store is upstairs hidden by
the tire section. ‘We’ll put you gals over there because we don’t want to see
you and you probably don’t want to be seen.’”
She continues: “There is just this weird thing about how we
perceive women in this country. I would love to be a part of breaking that
down.”
According to MORE, McCarthy’s clothing line will contain
upwards of “80 pieces in sizes 4 to 28″ marked from $59 to $159 and will be
available at Nordstrom, Bloomingdale’s and Macy’s — as well as her personal
website MelissaMcCarthy.com.

legendary Hip Hop artist MC Lyte (PICTURED),
alt-rock group American Authors,
R&B trio Tony! Toni! Toné! and up-and-coming singer/songwriter Noah Guthrie have
been added to this year’s musical entertainment lineup on the Budweiser Main
Stage. The acts join an existing all-star lineup that includes the iconic
Melissa Etheridge and Blondie, legendary greats Kool & the Gang and Morris
Day and the Time and top country music artists Chris Young, Parmalee and
Natalie Stovall and The Drive. Fair St Louis will take place July 1, 2
and 3.
