HERE"SHE
THIS WEEK'S SPOT BITZ ....

The Cubs won the World Series Wednesday nite winning their third trophy within a span of 108 years since the second one.  The Chicago Cubs dramatic, 10-inning, 8-7 victory over the Cleveland Indians  was the most watched game World Series Game 7 in 25 years raking in 40 million viewers.  We will bet that will be amount of people at the parade for the Cubs that will take place on Friday in Chitown.

Here are the details on that championship parade that will wind through downtown Chicago ...
What: The Cubs' 2016 World Series parade
When: Friday, Nov. 4, starting at 11 a.m. CT
Where: The parade will start at Michigan Avenue and Oak Street in downtown Chicago and work its way to Grant Park, where a rally will be held starting at noon local time.

UPDATE: More than 5 million people attended the rally and parade.  With the city having close to 2.5 million people, there were people from across the Midwest traveled to attend.

Beyonce was the surprise guest on this years Country Music Awards. she performed her song "Daddy Lessons" off her album Lemonade with country superstars Dixie Chicks. Their performance was the only thing that was competing with the World Series.

From reports, the three-hour coverage averaged a 2.9 rating among adults 18-49 and 12.8 million viewers, off nearly a full ratings point in the key demo from last year. But, all told, the show was off by less than 1 million viewer.

It certainly qualified the CMA Awards as “must-see TV” for BeyoncĂ© ‘s devoted fan base as she wore a dynamic see through brown gown. what was interesting was to see the look of  the crowd watching Bey wow the crowd with her presence but after the performance it appeared that the crowd enjoyed it cheering up n their feet. In a clever move, soon after the performance, the song was available for download on various music sites. On I Tunes, as of Friday, it is  No 21 on the I Tunes chart.

Madea is ruling the boxing office yet again. Tyler Perry's production  struck box office gold with his latest flick Boo! A Madea Halloween. For the 2nd week straight weekend, the Halloween film remains in the No. 1 spot, beating out Tom Hanks’ action film Inferno.
Boo! A Madea Halloween raked in an estimated $16.7 million over the weekend, beating off off the third installment of the Da Vinci Code franchise for the No.1 spot. Inferno brought in an estimated $15 million and based on studio estimates, it bombed for its debut weekend. It's being reported the film is doing better overseas, but Tyler has the U.S. box office on lock.
Tyler Perry’s Halloween blockbuster is the filmmaker's biggest hit since his 2009’s Madea Goes to Jail. The film made an impressive $52 million over the last 10 days.

The lawsuits on Mark Ronson and Bruno Mars megasmash "Uptown Funk" continue to roll in.
The most recent suit filed in federal court in California  recently  alleges that “Uptown Funk” is “strikingly or substantially similar” to the 1983 track “Young Girls” by an electro-funk band named Collage.

The complaint claims that “Uptown Funk” pulls heavily from the “Minneapolis electro-funk soul” sound of the ’80s, which the suit claims “Young Girls” employed.
As of press time, reps for Mars and Ronson have not yet responded to the allegations.
In addition to the current lawsuit, three members of The Gap Band were added as songwriters due to the song’s alleged similarities to The Gap Band’s “Oops! Upside Your Head.”
Alleging copyright infringement, the suit seeks unspecified damages.

We heard the "YoungGirls" track and it does have similarities in its rhythm structure but the question is WHY did the plaintiffs wait until now to try and sue Ronson? Also, we wouldnt be surprised that litigants are set to sue for Mars' latest hit, "24 Karat Magic" that has the same funk vibe.

In the STL

This week, KSDK personality Rene Knott, who had been the sports director at KSDK since coming to the station in 2003, has moved to Channel 5’s news department to co-anchor the “Today in St. Louis” show from 5-7 a.m. weekdays.
From reports, the change was because of budget cuts in the sports department.

The St Louis International Film Festival will be celebrating its 25th year as the organization will screen hundreds of shorts, documentaries and films from  Nov. 3-13. For more info go to http://www.cinemastlouis.org/

Doors open at 7pm, Show at 8pm.

FIT BITZ

This week we feature  actor Jay Ellis who can be seen in the new HBO comedy Insecure. The most recent airing of the show exposed Ellis in his birthday suit causing a frenzy in the Twitterverse. As far as fitness, to keep his lean frame in tact, he is a celebrity endorser of the muscle supplement, Muscle Up.

This week we feature Beyonce who made news performing with the Dixie Chicks at the Country Music Awards. This past Halloween she, along with her mother, Tina Knowles and daughter Blu Ivy dressed up as the rap group Salt N Pepa back during the group's "Push It" days  and nailed it!
