OK NOW TO THE BITZ THIS WEEK
This week, Carpool Karaoke, the segment on James Corden’s Late Late Show, featured First Lady Michelle Obama, who admits she’s only been in the passenger seat of a car twice in seven-and-a-half years on account of secret service stuff, got to pop in the vehicle and sing a little Stevie Wonder with Corden. And halfway through it, after a little “Single Ladies” with the hand dance and a conversation about FLOTUS’s new Snapchat, an unexpected guest pops in the backseat: Missy Elliott, who joined Obama on “This Is For My Girls,” a song in support of global education. Then they do a very rousing rendition of “Get Ur Freak On.” From reports, it’s the best Carpool Karaoke segment Corden’s ever done.
Comedian and Saturday Night Live star Leslie Jones has rejoined Twitter just two days after she announced she was quitting the social media platform.
Jones, who earlier this week shared several hateful tweets she'd received, announced Thursday that she just didn't have the self-discipline to quit for good.
"Welp...a b**** thought she could stay away. But who else is gonna live tweet 'Game of Thrones'!!" Jones wrote.
The comedian, made headlines on Monday after she reportedly revealed several obscene comments that Twitter users had sent her. She also reportedly shared screen-grabs of a fake account with her name tweeting out offensive messages.
"I feel like I'm in a personal hell. I didn't do anything to deserve this. It's just too much. It shouldn't be like this. So hurt right now," she wrote Monday. "I leave Twitter tonight with tears and a very sad heart. All this cause I did a movie. You can hate the movie but the s*** I got today...wrong."
One day later, Twitter reportedly announced that it had taken action against some of the users who had harassed Jones, including a permanent suspension of Breitbart's tech editor, Milo Yiannopoulos. Yiannopoulos told ABC News in a statement that he "did nothing wrong" and that "Twitter doesn't stand for free speech." However, a rep for the social media platform reportedly told ABC News in a statement that while "people should be able to express diverse opinions and beliefs on Twitter ... no one deserves to be subjected to targeted abuse online."
"Our rules prohibit inciting or engaging in the targeted abuse or harassment of others," the statement read. "Over the past 48 hours in particular, we’ve seen an uptick in the number of accounts violating these policies and have taken enforcement actions against these accounts, ranging from warnings that also require the deletion of Tweets violating our policies to permanent suspension."
Shortly thereafter, the company reportedly released a second statement, detailing planned changes in the future.
"We know many people believe we have not done enough to curb this type of behavior on Twitter. We agree," it read. "We are continuing to invest heavily in improving our tools and enforcement systems to better allow us to identify and take faster action on abuse as it’s happening and prevent repeat offenders. We have been in the process of reviewing our hateful conduct policy to prohibit additional types of abusive behavior and allow more types of reporting, with the goal of reducing the burden on the person being targeted. We’ll provide more details on those changes in the coming weeks."
Uhhh, whatever happened to sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt me? But we digress, the tweets about Jones was horrible and very disrespectful, and its easy for those with fingers to type anything on social media where there is an opportunity to comment--with limits. But for Jones to quit Twitter and then her quick return to it made her disdain and protest seem a bit self serving. But Twitter at least did something on the matter. 
"Saturday Night Live" comedians Colin Jost and Michael Che hosted a special edition of "Weekend Update," the show's popular parody news broadcast, live from the Republican National Convention on Wednesday night at the Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland.
Che and Jost panned Ted Cruz's speech earlier in the evening, in which he had talked about party unity but failed to endorse Trump, and ended by telling the crowd to "vote your conscience" and getting booed off stage by the audience of Trump supporters.
"It's like giving a desperate toast at your ex's wedding. Move on with your life!" Che riffed.
The comedians also roasted New Jersey Governor Chris Christie, whose Tuesday night convention speech featured a call-and-response pattern where the former prosecutor repeatedly asked the audience whether presumptive Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton was guilty or innocent of various "charges" — with the crowd repeatedly shouting "Guilty!"
Referencing the plagiarism scandal surrounding Melania Trump's convention speech, Jost joked that Christie had plagiarized parts of his speech from the "Salem Witch Trials."
The mini-show also featured a taped piece called "Trumpemon Go," which poked fun at Pokemon Go — the mobile game that has recently taken the nation by storm — while also pointing out the RNC attendees' lack of diversity.
In the segment, Che said that he was playing a game in which he was trying to catch "the rarest creature of them all: minorities at the RNC."
Last but certainly not least, the segment ended with an appearance by Kate McKinnon playing Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg. Asked her thoughts about Christie as a potential future Supreme Court Justice, she joked: "Christie on the Supreme Court? Please, I'd rather have an empty chair than a broken chair!"
Next week, Jost and Che will also host another special edition of "Weekend Update" from the Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia.

It was quite funny and a brilliant idea on SNL to do a special Weekend Update there. We liked the moment when Che asked white people in a taped segment where were the minorities at the convention and one just walked off when he asked.
Taylor Swift will be unable to sue Kanye West and Kim Kardashian West over the phone call the couple leaked online.
It’s been widely reported that Swift was considering legal
action over the call, in which she enthuses over the line in
West’s song ‘Famous’ in which West says: “Feel like me and
Taylor Swift might still have sex.” However, West doesn’t
state in the phone call that the following lyric will be: “Why? I
made that bitch famous.”
Despite the call seemingly leaking without Swift’s permission,
it has emerged that local California privacy laws mean that
Swift will be unable to take any action against West or his wife.

In the birth name section, the “Shake It Off” singer’s name was changed to “Taylor ‘Slithering Snake Becky With the Good Lies’ Alison Swift,” a nod to Beyoncé calling her lover’s mistress “Becky With the Good Hair” on her album Lemonade. The nasty trolls didn’t stop there, adding Mean Girls’ “Regina George” and “victim” to her list of nicknames and “liar” to her occupations.
The opening line of her bio section was switched to say: “Taylor Alison Swift (born December 13, 1989) is an American singer-songwriter fraud that got dragged to the grave by successful businesswoman Kim Kardashian.”
Once it came to the attention of the Wikipedia editors, they returned the page to its original state and put a lock on the page to prevent certain users from making further changes.
Looks like Swift got a taste of Internet trolling as well. We guess folk are tiring of her antics but the question is, has all this affected her career? Only time will tell when her next album is released.

personality Montel Williams are in a public spat after
Williams walked off O'Reilly's show on Wednesday night.
Speaking on his show, O'Reilly attributed Williams' walk-off to "some gay thing," then called the absent Williams "cowardly," and "unprofessional."
"He will never be never be on this program again. He's not a man of his word, he's unprofessional," O'Reilly said on the show. "That is about as low as it gets."
Williams, who spoke to CNNMoney after the incident, offered a more specific account: He said he'd been told that the segment was going to focus on an LGBT speech that he'd given earlier in the day, as well as a poll suggesting that President Obama is a racist (Williams intended to knock that poll down).
But when he arrived, Williams said, he was told the segment was only going to be about the poll. "Suddenly [Fox News host] Eric Bolling is involved and it's all about Obama being a racist," Williams said. "I walked before air, they chased me half way around the building. My detail had to stop them."
"I'm solely focused on my [LGBT] speech," he said. "When that was eliminated, why stay?"

This week we lost entertainment producer, director and writer Gary Marshall who died at the age of 81 after a stroke. he is well known for producing such hit shows like, "Happy Days," and "Laverne and Shirley" (which starred his sister Penny Marshall_ and movies such as directing such hist as "Pretty Woman, " and the most recent film, "Mothers Day."
The “Legends of the Dome” game will showcase players and coaches from the Rams’ heydays in St. Louis, their “Greatest Show on Turf” days of the 1999-2003, and serves as a sendoff to pro football in St. Louis now that the team has left for Los Angeles. It will take place Saturday, July 23
