ending. It was a perfect depiction of the
Love childhood friends can share to help

their families understand the impact rejection has on

every aspect of
their lives. Thank you for saying so beautifully

what one of my dearest friends in the world
could not say to us

before he left  this earth. LOVE conquers All.
Celebrity photographer Steven Williams  said, 'The  ending made us warm and fuzzy."

OK NOW TO THE BITZ THIS WEEK

All eyez were on the Democratic National Convention that was held at the Wells Fargo Arena in Philly. As far as the ratings, up until Wednesday, the convention landed its third straight night of ratings wins over the Republican convention last week.

About 24 million viewers watched Wednesday's DNC coverage on the six biggest channels (CNN, MSNBC, NBC, ABC, CBS, and Fox News), according to preliminary Nielsen data.
Last Wednesday's RNC coverage drew 23.4 million viewers across eight channels.
The coverage of Obama's speech and Hillary Clinton's appearance on stage spilled into the typically lower-rated 11 p.m. hour, but the ratings results indicate that most viewers kept watching until the very end of the evening.
For the third night in a row, CNN was #1 overall, with 6.17 million viewers between 10 and 11:45 p.m. MSNBC was #2 with 4.92 million. NBC was #3 with 4.17 million.
The Democratic ratings advantage has come as something of a surprise, given Donald Trump's reputation as a ratings magnet.
So much for Trump asking his tweeters to not watch the DNC. As of press time, the ratings for Thursday's rally has yet to be measured and posted.

And speaking of the DNC, there were countless celebrities who participated.Musicians, actors, athletes and other popular figures will show their faces at the week-long event, which kicked off Monday. The list of celebrities is many and varied, ranging from pop stars like Alicia Keys, Demi Lavato and Katy Perry to sports icons like Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and NASA astronaut Capt. Mark Kelly and Hollywood figures such as Meryl Streep. Name-brand celebrities were apparently hard to come by for Clinton's opponent Donald Trump at the Republican National Convention. At the event, held last week in Cleveland, actor Scott Baio was arguably the biggest star on the bill.
Dozens of Broadway stars and other entertainers joined in an exuberant and emotional performance of “What the World Needs Now Is Love”.

Tony winners Audra McDonald, Brian Stokes Mitchell, Idina Menzel, Ben Vereen and Debra Messing, as well as other entertainers such as Kristen Bell, Darren Criss, Rosie Perez and — in a little Cagney & Lacey reunion — Tyne Daly and Sharon Gless appeared onstage at Convention Hall in Philadelphia.

From reports, "Saturday Night Live" returned from summer vacation for a second Wednesday in a row for a special segment on day three of the Democratic National Convention, with jokes that ranged from despondent Bernie Sanders supporters to a love story that failed to mention a sex scandal.
"There's been so much passion and enthusiasm here — only problem was, most of it was for the guy who lost," "Weekend Update" co-host Colin Jost said, referring to Sanders.
They then showed images of Sanders supporters in the convention hall who were in tears.
"Look at all these white girls crying — they look like Dave Matthews just played 'Crash Into Me,'" co-host Michael Che joked. "What are you so sad about? You're gonna be fine. What do you think is going to happen if Bernie Sanders doesn't get to be president? You still get to be white."
The pair laughed about Bill Clinton's speech Tuesday, in which the former president described falling in love with Hillary Clinton and convincing her to marry him.
"It was sort of like 'The Notebook,' you know? But if Ryan Gosling had ripped out all those pages about how he had an affair with an intern," Jost joked.
Che also brought up Fox News host Bill O'Reilly's comments after Michelle Obama described living in a White House built by slaves.
O'Reilly said that the federal government stopped "hiring" slave labor in 1802 (10 years after construction on the building began).
"You don't hire slaves, Bill," said Che. "That goes against the very definition of slaves. You enslave a slave - you don't hire a slave.
"What would that job interview even be?" he asked. "'Hey, we're looking for somebody long term — where do you see yourself in 400 years?'"

Nelly’s major label debut album Country Grammar received diamond certification from the Recording Industry Association of America. The prestigious award represents 10 million units in physical and digital sales, as well as sales equivalents.

Befitting the honor, RIAA representatives revealed the good news to the rapper at a show last night at Union Transfer in Philadelphia. Timed with the Democratic National Convention, the invitation-only concert was a benefit for Musicians On Call, a charity that brings live and recorded music to the bedsides of patients in healthcare facilities, and also featured an appearance by native DJ Jazzy Jeff.

According to Billboard, Nelly’s last RIAA plaque for Country Grammar came in 2004, when the album crossed the sales threshold of nine million units. It took over 12 years for the album to do another million and hit the diamond milestone, no doubt assisted by the RIAA’s recent changes to its award methodology to factor in both track streams and album streams via Apple  Music, Spotify, and others.

ST. LOUIS • Robbie Montgomery, the owner of Sweetie Pie’s restaurants in the St. Louis area, has sued her son, Tim Norman, alleging trademark infringement over his use of the name at three of his restaurants in the St. Louis area and California.

According to reports, the suit was filed Monday in federal court in St. Louis, alleging that Norman illegally used the trademarked Sweetie Pie’s name at a restaurant he opened in North Hollywood, Calif., in Florissant and near Lambert-St. Louis International Airport in Berkeley.
The best-known location at 4270 Manchester Avenue is currently closed, but her company also runs a restaurant in Dellwood and The Upper Crust in midtown St. Louis. Montgomery is a former backup singer for Ike and Tina Turner.
Her family and restaurant have been the subject of a reality TV show, “Welcome to Sweetie Pie’s,” on the Oprah Winfrey Network. The sixth season of the show, which has generated 73 episodes, ended in January.
Montgomery’s lawsuit reportedly accuses Norman of misusing signage and promotional materials for his locations and diverting “substantial sums” of revenue from the Manchester location toward his restaurants.
Norman’s use of the Sweetie Pie’s brand damages Montgomery’s ability to market and sell a Sweetie Pie’s franchise in Los Angeles and the St. Louis region, the suit alleges.

Wow, this is ugly. But what is interesting, when the location in North Hollywood opened, Tim was worried if his mom would like the new signage of Sweetie Pies that added the name TJ's to it (Tim's son). She was reluctant but on camera  went along with it. Guess that wasnt the case.

In the STL, there are updates on the health of two media personalities

According to stltoday, com, Saying "overall, I feel  fine," STL radio host John Carney — plans to be back to work Monday as the afternoon host (12-3 p.m.) on KTRS-AM 550.
On July 11, Carney underwent open-heart surgery at Barnes-Jewish Hospital to correct a genetic defect caused by Loeys-Dietz Syndrome, which is similar to Marfan's Syndrome.
"I figure to be back Monday," Carney said Tuesday while attending a screening of Matt Damon's latest "Jason Bourne" movie.
"I'm ready to go back," Carney said. "I'll be taking it easy, but I'm OK."
In January, Carney had his first surgery after collapsing with a torn aorta. Doctors discovered that the genetic defect likely caused the tear, which likely killed his father, Jack Carney.

ST. LOUIS •  According to stltoday.com, police raided two nightspots for liquor violations Saturday night and arrested the owner.
Police say the owner  was booked on suspicion of two counts of selling intoxicating liquor without a state license and one count of selling liquor without a city license. Charges are pending.
The raids were conducted at about 11 p.m. Saturday at Rustic Goat/Horny Goat or HG Danceclub, at 2617 Washington Avenue, and The Lux, at 2619 Washington Avenue.
Police say both businesses were then closed for the night and customers were told to leave.
Police say the Rustic Goat had been operating on an expired state liquor license since June 30. The Lux, police say, had been operating without a state liquor license for 12 months and without a city liquor license since May 11.
In more specific detail, Delores Shante Partyline columist for St Louis American said: When I tell you that things couldn’t have been any less out of the ordinary Saturday night when I made my way to Lux to check out the Umbrella Group and Super Ego’s latest party collabo... I got halfway back and somebody got on the microphone and essentially said – it was so non-eventful that I don’t remember the exact words – “Look, I don’t know what’s going on, but there’s something going on, and everybody has to get out.” ..... I just kind of filed out with everybody else and saw a police van and officers standing around. I tried to ask what was going on, but was politely (no, seriously, the officer was quite polite) told to keep it moving. I was already at my next spot before I realized I was accidently caught up in a raid over an expired liquor license…or two. It was the most anti-climactic thing – so much so that I didn’t find out until well after the fact that the owner had been taken in by the law in the process.
Wow this is crazy!  Almost a year without a license??? Check our WORDZ TO THE WHYZ below on more of this.
