EDITOR'S RECAP: Overall the gala was very classy with all of the trimmings of one of the fashion events for the city of St Louis....as far as the competitor's designs some were OK and some  stood out (eg. Haughton's cut out dresses ), but the head scratcher of the nite was why were there so many models wearing black slipper shoes on the runway? ....It was quite noticeable and somewhat distracted from some of the garb that was displayed on the runway. But then again---it is fashion. Nevertheless, besides from that, the event was definitely a event to be seen. Other notable people who were there were St Louis American Publisher Dr Donald Suggs, fashion show producer Dwight Carter, and model/socialite Christian Coffield. One of the judges in the competition was St Louis Post Dispatch Fashion Editor Debra Bass.
