RECAP: The first St Louis Star Awards was a good effort with it being its first awards. It was a decent crowd of some of St Louis' own in the fields of entertainment, education and business. The set up was very organized and ran smoothly. The award winners were chosen by the public through a series of rounds and the Top Three were selected as nominees. The only drawback was people who lost at the awards leaving after they didn't win. The host DL Wilson was charming but had a hard time getting crowd members to joke along with him during some of the roasting moments. He also made a joke of butchering people's name which became a bit in the show. But overall, it was a very entertaining show and we are sure it will progress in years to hopefully come.
