Ma’atology Productions is seeking male models of color for an upcoming 2013 calendar OBSIDIAN. This is a great opportunity for guys who need photos for their portfolio. Seeking attractive, in shape gents who are open minded to being photographed both clothed and semi nude (no frontal). Before shooting, there will be a consultation and a confidentiality agreement that has to be signed. Will receive photos after shoot and possible profits from the sales of the calendar. FEATURE BITZ

St Louis native rap artist Tef Poe aka Kareem Jackson is on the verge of blowing up the scene nationally. Recently, he had the opportunity to compete in BET’s 8^th Annual A3C Hip Hop Festival   where he advanced to the Semi Finals that was held last week in Atlanta.

Poe, who currently lives in Los Angeles,,  talked about his experience at the battle recently on his Facebook page:

If I ever needed confirmation on my talent tonight I got it...the BET A3C battle...Semi Finals ...crowd chanting my name...Dougie Fresh approached me after the battle and called me the best rapper in the room hands down ...gave me some freestyle pointers about controlling my adrenaline...the judges were Termanology, Skyzoo, and Gangster Pill, Skyzoo chopped it up w/me.

After the battle..him (Skyzoo) and Dougie Fresh both gave me mad props tonight...I'm sitting backstage talking to Dougie Fresh listening to him tell me how to hone my talent and control it ....the BET talent scouts were overly impressed..we gotta long way to go but we're on our way.....put my neck on the line for the city tonight and it paid off..mission accomplished..I'm humbled and excited..thanks be to the universe and everything that is righteous in this world!!

The winner will be invited to New York City to compete on 106 & Park's famous Freestyle Friday battle.

Poe has commanded large crowds opening for Chicago’s Lupe Fiasco and has been featured on major hip hop sites such as TheSource.com,ThisIs50.com, XXLMag.com, The Smoking Section, SOHH.com, RawRoots.comand several more.

This week we feature fashionista/model/podcast host Paris Caldwell and "Welcome to Sweetie Pies" star Jr Dot. Caldwell was rocking an 80s influenced club outfit with the leather jacket, purple tank, leggins and sparkly heels (and the sparkly tie and bracelet was a nice touch). Jr Dot kept it funky casual with the blazer, scarf and ice washed jeans. In this pic, Caldwell was celebrating her bday with a fashion show and Jr Dot hosted. It took place at The Coliseum in Midtown St Louis.

Donny Hathaway Tribute Concert at the Missouri History Museum

The D'Fynitive Soul Band will be doing a Tribute Concert to commemorate the life and music of Donny Hathaway. His work has inspired many including Alicia Keys, Chris Brown, Amy Winehouse, Beyoncé, George Benson, India.Arie, Jon Gibson, Stevie Wonder, Brian McKnight and many more.

NOTE: This event was a class act to finalize Saint Louis Fashion Week. Who knew that an apartment complex would be the best spot to conclude the event especially the outside view with the lit up buildings and Arch. In the house were STL TV's Gilberto Pinela, St Louis Post Fashion Editor Debra Bass and Mary Clarke of Mother Model Management.
