If there is one thing about fashion one can agree on is you need models to showcase it. One particular group is Picture Perfect Modeling Troupe. This group of models was established in 2009 on the campus of Western Illinois University in Macomb, Ill. by Chicagoan and 2011 grad Johnny Razor.

JOHNNY RAZOR

According to the Picture Perfect blogsite, “The mission of the group is to introduce all aspects of the modeling industry using specialized photography, innovative fashion, unique runway techniques and mechanics, community service and health awareness for our members and community”

Razor goes on to say he hopes to “enhance each individual's knowledge of a professional modeling experience.”

Some of the projects Picture Perfect has participated in have been charity events to help raise awareness in the community and worked with Big Brother Big Sister to help children with self-esteem insecurities.

This week we feature two people who are originally from St. Louis. The first is model Renata Noelle. She is currently residing in Atlanta where she models. Here, she looks ravishing in this elegant shimmering party dress that she wore at a fashion show and "glamhawk" haircut in Atlanta recently. The other is actor/comedian James JT Jackson who became famous for portraying Cola in the Bacardi commercials. He is earing a gray on gray shirt and vest giving a casual classy look along with a well groomed  mini fro and beard. An avid bowler, he can be heard weekly on the Los Angeles-based podcast the Staci Harris Show with its namesake and actor Wesley Jonathan.

BLIND DISH

Which STL mover and shaker announced this week on Facebook posted that they will no longer take pics exposing their chest and posting them on Facebook? This person is a male, has worked on an exercising video training a nationally known Grammy Award winning recording artist who was raised and still lives in the St Louis area and their last name is part of the title of a Negro Spiritual regarding what slaves should do to escape slavery.

Why are states signing a petition to succeed from the United States because President Obama was re-elected? And why did an anti-Obamian killed himself because Obama was re-elected? Why did the Gen. Petraus scandal happen after Obama was re-elected?  Why did Jessie Jackson Jr use government funds to buy gifts for his mistress? Why are Tim Tebow’s teammates doggin him out? Why did the man who accused the man who does the voice of Elmo recant his original accusations that he had a sexual relationship with the puppeteer when he was underaged?  Why couldn’t tie be broken for the Rams v 49ners game? And Why is Karrine Stephens going to be cast on “Basketball Wives?”

This is a FREE....yes FREE event......we have food courtesy of THE MIXOLOGIST, beautiful dinnerware courtesy of THE PAMPERED CHEF (and you can place orders on the spot), The ALPHA HOUSE BAR is fully stocked, and we are showcasing some amazing authors here in STL...

The two STL personalities who got their style this week was power couple Joni Marie and Will “Superfresh” Ross. Joni, who is a well respected fashion designer of her own line J Marie, had her swan song fashion show Majestic that took place at the Rustic Goat this past weekend in Midtown St Louis. Here, she is dressed elegantly in a beautiful blood red gown from her line. Her husband, Will, who is a one-third member of the event promotions group The F.R.E.S.H. Why did his acceptance speech feel like the I Have A Dream speech? Why didn’t FLOTUS speak? And why did it take so long for Romney to concede?

OTHER WHYZ. Why is Rihanna selling a special edition of her new CD for $250? Why is their so much hype over Psy's song' "Gangham Style" not being able to go No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart? Why is Ole Miss rioting? Why did Donald Trump demand a revolution? Why are the media focusing on, FLOTUS had worn a “recycled” dress during the celebration party?  Why is this Cee-lo rape allegation from his girlfriend seem a bit bogus? And why are folk making a big deal on whether news anchor Diane Sawyer as drunk during the election result newscast?

There's YOURS TRULY, MA'at Atkins takin a pic with Nicole Chapman who produced the event that benefited her newfound charity Brighter Days that helps provide services for abused and foster children. YOURS TRULY was one of many sponsors who helped with the event.

NOTE: This was the first event for Brighter Days to raise funds for the charity. It was well balanced mix of attendees who packed the intimate venue for the cause. There were many door and raffle prizes and a silent auctrion. The food was also scrumptious (especailly the meatballs).
