                                                                        The crowd.

RECAP. This event is always a smorgasbord of bohemia with artwork, dee jays, and hip hop. Over 1,600 people came through (we think it was more than that) to pack Neo to get their party on on two floors (It was an RSVP event). Great atmosphere and vibes (although the Oooooh weee weed was skunkin up the upper floor a bit). The highlight was The Werc Crew feat. Dre the Beatnik and DJ Wally Sparks getting the crowd hyped playing many many many snippets  R&B and hip hop classics from Jackson Five's "I Want of You back," to Debarge's "I Like it" to New Edition's "If it IsntLove," to Ice Cube's "Today Was a Good Day,". So when Twista got on stage an hour before the closing of the event, it seemed a bit anticlimactic. His set was cool, but it felt a bit rushed because of time constraints. Also spotted in the crowd were some of STL personalities--St Louis Posts' Kevin Johnson, Atty Daniel Brown,  event promoters Lisa West, Carl Nelson and Mo Witherspoon and model Christiaan Coffield to name a few.
