People are debating on Lebron James' comments on Stephen Curry winning NBA MVP this year and becoming the first unanimous MVP award winner in NBA history on Tuesday.
''I think sometimes the word 'valuable' or best player of the year, you can have different results,'' James told the Associated Press. ''You know, that's not taking anything from anyone that's ever won the award.

''Look at Steph's numbers. He averaged 30, he led the league in steals, he was 90-50-40 (shooting percentages from the free-throw line, field and 3-pointers), and they won 73 (games). So, I don't, do you have any debate over that, really, when it comes to that award? But when you talk about most 'valuable' then you can have a different conversation, so, take nothing away from him, he's definitely deserving of that award, for sure.''James, a four-time MVP winner, appears to be interpreting that the NBA should have a distinction or separate awards for 'Most Valuable Player' and 'Best Player.'

Well, from some NBA debaters, many were saying if Curry wasnt playing with the team (which happened recently during his shoulder injury) the Golden State Warriors still wins without him, but when James is out, the Cleveland Cavaliers loses. But then again, could James be a bit side eyeing Curry because he didnt win the MVP award and Steph is getting most of the shine in the NBA? Hmmm.

Outspoken rap artist Azealia Banks has made a name for herself speaking her mind about issues on social media. Well, one comment about a former One Direction member have gotten her banned on Twitter. One Direction fans who petitioned for Twitter to suspend Azealia Banks account after her racist and homophobic rant against former ODer Zayn Malik got their wish.

Anyone trying to access the rapper's account early Thursday was greeted with a page which read, "This account has been suspended. Learn more about why Twitter suspends accounts, or return to your timeline."

Banks went in the wrong direction on Tuesday when she took offense to some of Malik's tweets, which she assumed were aimed at her. She responded with inflammatory tweets about the former One Direction member which included racial and gay slurs. That was then followed by an epic Twitter (TWTR, Tech30) beef battle with 14-year-old Disney actress and One Direction fan Skai Jackson, which created a ton of buzz. Banks went after the young star in a series of insulting tweets after Jackson tweeted, "Azealia Banks needs to simmer down a little."

Here's why people are talking about Azealia Banks
Banks calling Malik a "curry scented b***h" spawned a hashtag using that phrase. To protest Banks, people of color began sharing selfies with the hashtag.

Some questioned why Banks -- a purveyor of provocative tweets who has attracted attention for everything from endorsing Trump to lashing out at other celebs -- has been allowed to keep spreading her vitriol.
"@twitter why is @AZEALIABANKS still an active account when she has broken so many terms of use," one person tweeted. "Let alone verified."

We all know in this heavy social media age, its all about trending, but if the trending goes the wrong way, the fans of the victim can destroy your career. Can we say Keyshia Cole? We are just saying.

Looks like talk show host Michael Strahan's last day alongside Kelly Ripa is on today, Friday.

Ripa is already talking about who should replace Strahan on "Live with Kelly and Michael." And on Thursday she was photographed wearing a jacket with the word "Freedom" written on the back.

WOW.

Regular viewers of the talk show say the relationship between the co-hosts has been visibly strained ever since ABC awkwardly announced Strahan's move to "GMA."

Ripa wasn't consulted, and she was informed just half an hour before the announcement on April 19. Furious about the decision and feeling disrespected by her bosses, Ripa skipped work for the rest of the week, sending the producers scrambling to fill her seat.

When she returned to the show on April 26, she said the dispute was about "respect in the workplace," adding that it wasn't personal with Strahan. "I am thrilled for you," she told him.

But she reportedly  didn't want him hanging around for three more months, as ABC had originally planned. After speaking with Ripa and Strahan, ABC did a 180 and said he would leave "Live" on May 13 instead of sticking around through the summer.

From reports, ABC had originally planned to start holding on-air try-outs in the fall. Some of the guest hosts aren't really in contention for the job, like ABC late-night host Jimmy Kimmel, who will join Ripa on Monday, or ABC News anchor David Muir, who joined on Thursday.

Other speculations of fillers are Jussie Smollett of Empire who will co-host on Tuesday; Cedric the Entertainer on Wednesday; and Daniel Dae Kim on Friday.

On the week of May 23, Fred Savage, Seal and Andy Cohen will all take turns in the chair.

The name that's come up the most, CNN's Anderson Cooper, is reportedly rnot yet scheduled to fill in. But both Cooper and Ripa have signaled that it's a possibility.

Cooper told David Axelrod on a podcast this week that "I don't see leaving CNN. Anything I do would be an add-on."
Ripa, when asked by People magazine if Cooper is the frontrunner for the co-host job, said only, "Stay tuned."

Many are saying on social media that Ripa is acting like a lover scorned. True she heralded him to be on the show after Regis Philbin left the show a few years back (and without her knowing at the time). But then again, who knows whats really going on as to why Ripa is acting the way she is with Strahan and Philbin did the exact same thing.  Hmm sounds personal to us!

Speaking of Jussie Smollett,  following last night's shocking cliffhanger (Well it wasnt too shcking after Fox announced last week that someone was going to be shot)  ending to the next to last  episode in Empire's second season where Jamal took a bullet meant for  Lucious, Smollett sent fans who felt certain that their favorite character would survive into a frenzy with one little tweet.
The actor seemed to confirm that his time on the Fox hit was up, talking about his tenure on the series in the past tense and referring to his future, unrelated plans.
The Tweet read:

"I've thoroughly enjoyed my time w/ @EmpireFOX. I love you all. Truth," Smollett wrote following the episode's west coast airing. "Time 2 make a record & some movies. #Empire"

As of Thursday morning, more than 2,000 fans had retweeted the message as Twitter users asked what it signaled for his character Jamal’s future.
After the trended comment, Smollett has reportedly gone silent on social media since sending the tweet in question, while, as of press time, Fox hasn't responded to E! News' request for comment.
The second season finale of Empire airs Wednesday, May 18 at 9 p.m. ET on Fox.

Well, we think he's talking a break from the show as is the rest of the cast because the show isn't taping its third season (likely until September) so quite naturally he can do other projects (like the film Alien that he's currently filming in New Zealand)--until its time for renegotiations.

St. Louis bred mother/activist Lesley McSpadden  has just released an  autobiography that was released Tuesday. Titled, "Tell the Truth & Shame the Devil" focuses on her now infamous son, the late Mike Brown, Jr. whose fatal shooting in Aug 9 2014 by Ferguson police officer Darren Wilson set off months of unrest. The 272-page book is published by Regan Arts and was co-authored by St Louis native Lyah Beth LeFlore.
The book details Ms McSpadden’s upbringing in tough St Louis neighbourhoods, her becoming a mother at 16 years old, her devastation at her son’s death and how her push to honour his memory catapulted her son’s death into becoming a catalyst for the national Black Lives Matter movement.
Ms McSpadden told the Associated Press that she wants readers to know “what a sweet person he was and how gentle he was and that he always tried to do the right thing”. She writes about her son reading out an essay on Martin Luther King at school and his hobby of fixing computers.
From reports,  McSpadden was taking a cigarette break from her grocery store job in August 2014 when she got a call from a friend to say someone had been shot near her mother’s apartment in Ferguson, Missouri.

Within minutes she found out the victim was her son and she has spent the last two years fighting for justice.

Former NBA star Larry Hughes and KMOV (Channel 4) anchorman Andre Hepkins will be out front Sunday as grand marshals of the Annie Malone Parade.

Hughes, a former CBC and St. Louis University star, spent 13 seasons with eight teams in the NBA.

Hepkins anchors KMOV’s morning news.

The parade will be Sunday May 15 begins at 1 p.m. at 20th and Market streets and will head east on Market into downtown, where it will culminate in an outdoor festival.

The parade is the nation’s oldest and second-largest African-American parade, organizers said. It raises money to help fund a number of charitable groups.

 WORDZ TO THE WHYZ

Why Bernie Sanders still in the running for the  Presidential nomination? Why was Lauryn Hill late at a recent ATL concert? Why is George Zimmerman auctioning off the gun he used to shoot and kill Trayvon Martin? Why are some political pundits trying to make teh transgender bathroom issue into a Jim Crow segregation issue (JUST CREATE A TRANSGENDER RESTROOM!!!)? Why is there child molestation allegations coming out against rap pioneer Afrika Bambaataa? Why are people who are not even kin to Prince think they have a chance at getting a piece of his $300 million estate? And why werent Prince's ex wives invited to the private memorial held a few days after his death?  Why is Janet's ex James Debarge saying that he and Janet had a baby that she gave up? And why do people turn down their radio in their car when they suspect they are lost?
