The dancers were introduced to the crowd.
United Health Care rep Jamie Bruce  had spoke to the crowd

environmental racism in St. Louis.

Johnson had spoken about the fashions for the show.

THE FASHION SHOW

The highlight was this cancer survivor who boldly showed her scars from her breasts in the fashion show,.
Radio personality Jade Harrell co-emceed the event.

The keynote speaker was family practitioner Dr. Christine Salter who gave an indepth speech about how to heal the body of cancer and how to prevent it.

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

The event also honored several people who were selected by peers and family who survived their battle with cancer. They include:

Chris Spearman with one of his supporters.
Nina Hamilton with her miracle child.
 Rosalynn Boyd (far right)
 Sandra Garrett

Vicki Garrett who was moved by her daughter honoring her on stage.

Nadal presented Watson with a Commemoration from the State of Missouri
Watson showed his appreciation to Nadal with a hug.
Watson and Nadal posed for the cameras.

Watson thanked the crowd for attention and told the audience that he is 10 years cancer free.
Watson asked all the cancer survivors from the audience to come to the stage to be recognized.

Watson also asked  his team to the stage and thanked them for their hard work.
Miles with singer Jzanell who was one of the best dressed females of the evening.

Jzanell was wowing in this gown!
Singer Chuck Flowers takes a pic with Townsend.
Miles poses with cancer survivor and honoree Garrett and Garrett's guest.

NOTE: Overall this  year's event, as always, was very inspiring especially with the candid stories from the cancer survivors. Although the crowd was a bit light as compared to the past events, the quality of it remained the same in regards to its purpose--to enlighten the community about cancer. And we at OUTSTAGN tip our hat to Watson for pulling off this event because of the quick turn around of the changing the venues two weeks before the event.  The gallery was also a great venue to have this event with the decor and art as well in this two story venue. Now as far as the fashions, well there were more misses than hits (and you know who you are lol), but we were able to find a few hits here and there, but we will give a pardon to the fashion choices selected by the majority.
