Last week rap superstar Kanye West told Hot 97 New York radio personality Angie Martinez on her radio show that he recently left sportswear giant Nike for multiple reasons, citing creative control and not acquiring
royalties for his popular Air Yeezy sneakers:
“I said, ‘Well I need royalties.’ It’s not even like I have a joint venture. At least give me some royalties.Michael Jordan has 5 percent and that business is $2 billion. He makes a $100 million dollars a year off of 5 percent royalties. Nike told me, ‘We can’t give you royalties because you’re not a professional athlete.’ I told them, ‘I go to the Garden and play one-on-no-one. I’m a performance athlete.’”
Nike’s rival Adidas felt they could give “Yeezus” the respect (and money) he deserves.
In an official statement Adidas, confirmed their new sneaker deal with Kanye and they’re beyond elated to have the “cultural icon” on board.
“For 2014, we welcome to the Adidas family one of the most influential cultural icons of this generation, Kanye West,” Adidas said. “Well known for breaking boundaries across music, film and design and partnering with our history in street wear culture and leading innovations in sport, we look forward to creating a new chapter. Details to follow.”

In other Ye newz, his overheated interview with MTV personbality Sways radio show last week is still causing waves...The pair's fiery November 26 interview on Sway's Shade 45 radio showresulted in 2 million video streams on YouTube to date, a couple of trending topics and countless memes poking fun at the interview.

"It seemed to be public demand that I respond to an

interview that I just did with Kanye West a week ago that blew up on the Internet, and I decided to respond here on 'RapFix,' " Sway said to open Wednesday's (December 4) episode. "I turned down a lot of other interviews, but today we're going to set the record straight. For the record, I love

Kanye West; that's my little brother."

During last week's radio interview, Kanye expressed his frustration with the corporate structure of the fashion world, venting about the lack of support and creative freedom from the big fashion houses he's reached out to or collaborated

with. When Sway asked Kanye why he doesn't just fund himself, things took a hard turn.

"How Sway?" Kanye barked. "You ain't got the answers, man! You ain't got the answers. I've been doing this more than you; you ain't got the answers!"

In the week since the interview was broadcast, a number of

hilarious Internet memes hit Instagram, Tumblr and Twitter.

But Sway said that despite how things played out between

him and Kanye, the MTV News correspondent has no hard feelings.

"If you got a chance to see the interview, it got really intense,

I will admit to that. But everything that Kanye said, I think is

true. In fact, I believe in everything that he's trying to do and

I think we all should listen to the message," Sway said on

Wednesday.

The one thing Sway didn't co-sign was Kanye's assertion

that he didn't have the answers. "See, that's the part that I

don't necessarily agree with, that I don't have the answers,

man. And to prove it, there is something that I wanted to

show you guys right here, that I actually got the answers

now," he said as he unzipped his jacket to reveal a black-

and-white T-shirt that reads: "I Got the Answers." (It's on

sale now atSwaysUniverse.com.)

The isn't the first time Yeezy and Sway have had a public

spat though. After Kanye West placed #6 on MTV

News' Hottest MCs in the Game VIIIlist back in March, 'Ye

did an interview with Hot 97's DJ Enuff to express his

disappointment and to tell the world that he "gave Sway his

first TV."

And in more Ye newz, his U.S. tour hit a stumbling block this week (beg02Dec13) as the rapper was forced to play to a half-empty arena. The rapper's Yeezus show in Kansas City, Missouri on Tuesday night (03Dec13) failed to sell out, and he only managed to shift around 4,500 tickets for the 19,000-seat Sprint Center venue, according to The Kansas City Star. Bill Brownlee, who reviewed the concert for the newspaper, writes, "The most shocking aspect of Kanye West's spectacular concert Tuesday night at the Sprint Center wasn't another suspect remark from the brash rapper.

The meager attendance of less than 4,500 seemed inconceivably small for one of the most vital artists in popular music. West almost certainly could have filled the Sprint Center five years ago." West's tour has been plagued with problems since it kicked off in October (13) - a number of gigs had to be scrapped after stage equipment was damaged in a truck crash.

Oscar nominated actor Terrence Howard has allegedly secretly wed his girlfriend after just one month of dating.
RadarOnline.com reported Howard, 44, got married for the fourth time recently to a Canadian woman named Miranda. A source close to the actor said the quickie wedding is "not out of character" for him.
“It’s another one of his outlandish moves … he only knew and/or dated her for about a month!” the source added.
Howard and his supposed new wife were spotted at the premiere of "The Best Man Holiday" in Los Angeles Nov. 5. They both were photographed wearing gold bands around their left ring fingers.
In May, Howard finalized his divorce from ex-wife Michelle Ghent. She filed for divorce in February 2011, just over a year after they married. In December 2011, sheclaimed the actor had physically abused her during their relationship, Us Weekly noted.

R&B superstar R. Kelly was a guest on Arsenio Hall's talk show Thursday and  paid his respects to the death of South African activist Nelson Mandela, performing "Soldier's Heart" and talking about how the South African president had inspired him.
"I sang for Nelson Mandela in his home, out in Africa, during the time when I was doing the [2010] World Cup," Kelly told Hall. "And I sang a special song for him on his piano. I'm just blessed to know that I walked in his presence . . . and being around him inspired me to even go further in my life in my walk and my career and everything, man. He's just an incredible power."

Kelly also performed the song solo at a piano, wearing sunglasses, while Hall watched from the audience, nodding along as R. Kelly sang about how "he stood on the frontline."
When he was done, Hall asked Kelly if he remembered Mandela's reaction to the song. Kelly said, "He just nodded his head, man. He was very happy and very honored, as I was being in his presence. When I started performing the song on his piano, it was an unbelievable moment for me, man, as it is now."
Kelly released the song under the title "Front Line" on his 2005 compilation My Diary. He premiered the tune in 2002 under the "Soldier's Heart" title, according to MTV, and released it as a benefit single in honor of America's armed forces.
The singer appeared on the show to promote his latest album, Black Panties, which is streaming now. The album signals a return to form for Kelly, whose two previous releases paid tribute to classic soul and R&B.

It will be the Battle of the Tigers in the ATL this Saturday as Mizzou will take on Auburn at The Southeastern Conference title game
And Missouri is the biggest surprise for CBS, which will televise the game Saturday.
It will be the first time since CBS began televising the league 13 seasons ago that a team it hadn’t carried all fall will be in its showcase telecast.
According to a stltoday.com report, Mizzou’s victory last weekend over Texas A&M was televised by ESPN and was seen in 15.9 percent of homes in the St. Louis market with a television, according to The Nielsen Co. Though not near the 26 rating the Tigers’ drew in 2007 when they beat Kansas to reach the Big 12 title game, it nonetheless was MU’s best rating in St. Louis since drawing a 17.2 figure for a 36-27 victory in 2010 over Oklahoma, which was ranked No. 1 in the BCS standings.
So a big number is expected Saturday, when MU mania takes over KMOV. Before football coverage begins, it has the Missouri-UCLA basketball game in Columbia at 11:30 a.m. Former MU broadcaster Kevin Harlan does the play-by-play. Greg Anthony is the analyst.
The last time these two teams met was in 1973 during the Sun Bowl with Auburn winning 34-17.
The game is set for 3 p.m at The Georgia Dome.
UPDATE: Auburn wins over Mizzou 59 to 42.
COLUMBIA, Mo. – The University of Missouri football team (11-2 overall and Southeastern Conference East Division champions) has accepted an invitation to play in the 2014 AT&T Cotton Bowl Classic, set for Jan. 3rd in Arlington, Texas at the world-renowned AT&T Stadium. Kickoff for the game, which will pit the Tigers against former conference foe Oklahoma State (10-2, 2nd place in Big 12), is set for 7 p.m. (central time) and will be televised nationally on FOX.

The Cotton Bowl appearance will mark Mizzou's 11th New Year's Day (or later) bowl game in program history, and its first since playing in the 2008 Cotton Bowl against Arkansas. The invitation is a reward for an outstanding season which saw the Tigers post one of the top turnaround years in the nation, going from 5-7 in 2012 to 11-2 - a 6-1/2 game improvement. This is MU's 30th alltime bowl appearance.

The St. Louis Cardinals must wait another week to find out if their bid to purchase a minor-league affiliate in Memphis is approved.
The Memphis City Council on Tuesday night delayed a vote on the proposed agreement between the Cardinals and the Memphis Redbirds Baseball Foundation.
The St. Louis Post-Dispatch (bit.ly/18hWCp7 ) reports that elected officials want more time to review the purchase contract.
The agreement calls for the city to purchase AutoZone Park and then lease it to the Cardinals for $300,000 annually as part of a 17-year lease with options for another 10 years. The Cardinals would pay $15 million to purchase the Class AAA franchise and pay for stadium improvements.
The Cardinals already own three of their minor-league affiliates.

There are two Internet radio shows that OUTSTAGN Blogspot recommends:

THE FIRST IS:

AND THE SECOND IS:

\

This week we feature STL radio personality Tammie Holland  . Here she posted up a collage of pics on Facebook moments before co-emceeing the Who's Who in Black St Louis event that had taken place at the Missouri History Museum recently. She is rocking the nerd prescriptions with an evening gown  sported with a large diamond on her finger. And of course her  blonde low  locks and ruby red lipstick accentuating the look of "geek glam." Holland can be heard weekdays on the Tony Scott Show on Majic 100.3 FM

Why are people selling car parts from the Paul Walker crash? Why was there a rumor that JaRule left his wife for a man when he was in prison? Why was there a video of Kevin Hart acting like a groupie at a Beyonce concert?

Soul Train Awards. Why didnt Jennifer Hudson perform with Chaka Khan during her performance? Why did Tamar Braxton's heartfelt acceptance speech seem fake?  And why did she wear that see-through leotard thong? Why do they try and make Wolf Blitzer act like a cool black man? And Why was the show pre-taped and not live?
