Chicago reared rap superstar Kanye West is reportedly planning to use eye scanners on guests at his upcoming wedding.
The hip-hop star is set to marry his fiancée Kim Kardashian in Paris on May 24, with plans heating up at the moment.
"He's asked his people to put in a request to French President François Hollande for use of the Republican Guard, which provide his security. He's asked for some of the 3,200-strong team to be dispatched to him for the day and has offered to pay $1 million for their services," an insider claimed to British magazine Heat.
"He's also shipping in retina scanners to check all guests and two former agents from America's Secret Service to detect any intruders."
As well as wanting to ensure his and Kim's privacy, the steps are said to be in part because Kanye fears the wedding could be a terrorist target.
As the big day approaches, Kim got on Twitter recently to dispel rumors about the wedding. She said that they have not gotten married in a small civil ceremony, the wedding will not she filmed for Keeping Up with the Karsadians (just everything leading up to and after will be filmed), and that the ceremony will be small and intimate not thousands of guests.
It seems as though this wedding will be the most sought after for paparazzi to try and get pics, bu the way it looks, many press photographers may be out of luck.....is it that serious? To many it seems as though it is....
In other Kimye news, in regards to the now infamous Vogue cover that the couple was posed on last month is more infamous than commercially profitable.... The New York Post said that early sales figures indicate the mag, which featured Kim in a strapless wedding dress, fell below initial estimates.
"The trends for Kim K are definitely better than the prior month withRihanna, to the tune of 20 per cent better," said Josh Gary, vice president at Mag Net Data.
"I'd argue that if you peg last year's Michelle Obama at 269,000, this issue will net out around 250,000."

Hmmm, guess Vogue thought people would buy copies of a soon to be wedding of Kimye...the question now is which mag will get the pic of their actual wedding for its cover?

Chicago based Jet magazine will no longer be in print form. From reports, the 68-year old publication is going to cease publishing. Starting in June, Jet, the sister magazine to Ebony, will only be available in a digital version. The print version is going away, not the franchise. It will live on online digitally.

ADD: On March 20th, Chicago native comic strip producer Aaron McGruder’s absence from the fourth season of The Boondocks was explained by Adult Swim as as resulting from an inability to agree upon working schedules. In a statement released a week later, McGruder explained how painful leaving The Boondocks was, but did not specify his reasons for leaving.

Aaron McGruder is currently producing a new series for Adult Swim called Black Jesus.
And the way the creativity and "funny" has been going this season has been going, it will definitely be the last....but our WHY is why would McGruder still deal with Adult Swim for his next project after supposedly getting fired from them?

ADD: After being named a finalist for the Heisman Trophy last year, Auburn running back Tre Mason has now become a member of the St. Louis Rams after being taken 75th overall in the 2014 NFL Draft. Mason came in at No. 89 on SB Nation's top 200 big board, making him sixth among running backs and playing with his almnus Greg Robinson who was drafted by the Rams on Thursday.
UPDATE: With the No. 41 overall pick in the 2014 NFL Draft, the St. Louis Ramsselected Florida State Seminoles defensive back Lamarcus Joyner today, Friday. Joyner was one of the key members on the Seminoles during their national championship run last season.

St Louis native actor Jon Hamm plans to be back home this weekend to pick up an honor: Outstanding Alumnus of John Burroughs High School. According to stltoday.com, it will take place Saturday. Hamm , who was in the class of 1989, was the co-chair of the fundraising efforts that paid fo , renovating Haertter Hall, the theater where Hamm made his first acting appearances.
