ILLI MO SPOTLIGHT
Everyone was up in arms on Sunday when news broke alleging that Kanye told a kid in a wheelchair to “stand up” during one of his concerts in Australia.
Ye reportedly stopped a performance to demand that the entire audience stand up.
According to the Daily Mail, Kanye announced: “I can’t do this song…until everybody stand up. Unless you got a handicap pass and you get special parking and s–t.. ‘Imma see you if you ain’t standing up, believe me, I’m very good at that.’
You hit the nail on the head, dude. One audience member had to wave his prosthetic limb before Kanye told him “‘Okay, you fine!”
However, a second audience member continued to draw Kanye’s attention when he didn’t stand up, causing the rapper to remark, “This is the longest I’ve had to wait to do a song, it’s unbelievable.”
The Daily Mail corroborate several fans reports that the crowd yelled that the fan was in a wheelchair, while others even made “wheelchair motions” to let ‘Ye know the situation.
Never one to take wheelchair motions at face value, Kanye asked his bodyguard Pascal Duvier to enter the arena and check on the fan. He only continued the show after Duvier confirmed that the man was in fact wheelchair-bound.
After the incident social media went ablaze. Then Ye took to Australian media and gave a 10 minute tirade about the situation.
Below are some of the rant:
Below are some of the rant:
"........ I want to take this platform. If I didn’t have this last concert, maybe I would’ve tweeted something or put out a statement with a publicist, but I can talk directly to you — my fans. Because they’ve got this thing where they want the masses — people who’ve never heard my albums — to somehow read a headline that reads negative, and think that I’m a bad person or somethin’. I’m not judging, I’m just going to tell you who I am. I’m a married, Christian man. So, if you take someone that can go from being a rock star across the globe and everything and make the decision to pick one woman and raise a family, anyone here that’s married or that’s in a relationship knows that there’s enough things workin’ against you. I’m not going to make one of them Ben Affleck statements and shit.
But what I’m sayin’ is, you’ve got like 12 years that we put in positive music. How many people ever heard one of my songs on their way to work — they heard it, and it made them feel better? And on those songs that made them feel better, don’t I say offensive shit here and there, like, so wait a second, that’s my brand! I curse and say really offensive … wait a second. That’s why when I did "Runaway" earlier, I said, "I sent ya a picture of my dick …" what did ya think when y’all heard that? That’s not G-rated! This is rap fuckin’ music! This is real expression. This is real artistry. You know, an artist’s career doesn’t happen in one cycle of news — an artist’s career happens in a lifetime. And if you’re a true artist, you’re willing to die for what you believe in.
And I don’t know if you feel like this, or give this feeling after the 10, 11, 12 years, but does it seem like in any way I might be slightly a true artist? ........I’m a married Christian man with a family. At my concerts, I make sure everybody has as good a time as possible. So all this demonizing me, it aint’ goin’ to work after a while. Pick a new target. Pick a new target. Because I’m not one of these dumbass artists that you’re used to. You come at me, I’m going to take my platform and break this shit down for real, intelligent people every night. And then, we’ll get back to the music.
Ye's at it again....is it me or does it seem now farcical of his antics and we expect it now. Now it was applauded when he criticized President Dubya on live TV during the Katrina Aftermath but now with all the self aggrandizing he does has now become parody.
Former The View cohost Sherri Shepherd went on Wendy Williams' talk show this week to chat it up about her former job and legal battles with her ex-husbands.
Shepherd mentioned on the show that she did watch the season premiere of The View and said she did think that everyone seemed a little "nervous." She also reportedly tweeted during the show.
On her custody legal battle with her first husband, Jeffrey for her son Shepherd said “The judge ruled in my favor. I retained custody of my son."
She is currently in litigation with her soon-to-be ex Lamar Sally on receiving custody of the surrogate baby that she and Sally agreed to have and now has been born. On the Wendy show, Sherri couldn’t share too much about those proceedings because the two are still working things out.

"We can't say anything about that," she told Williams. "I have a lot of lawyers and I'm in court right now and it's very public and it's very painful.....Everybody is suing me. Just ask me to be a reference on the job application,” Sherri joked on the show. “You don’t have to sue me.”
According to Sherri, she and Sal are no longer on speaking terms, but she is praying for her estranged spouse. Oddly enough, she said Sal and Jeffrey do speak to one another, and she finds that “creepy” and “nasty.”
The former couple is due back in court Oct. 2 in Pennsylvania for a pretrial hearing. Shepherd's former The View co-host Jenny McCarthy reportedly was OK about being fired from her former TV job and has an idea as to why she was fired.
In an appearance on Good Day NY this week, McCarthy admitted she hasn’t been watching the new View this week, though she’s heard mixed reviews.
And as for why she ended up leaving the show, McCarthy admitted The View wanted to go in a more diverse angle and her staying on would get in the way of that:
McCarthy did admit she couldn’t be as unfiltered as she normally is when she co-hosted The View.
