The Kansas City Royals  waited 29 years to return to the World Series and unfortunately came in second when they lost to San Francisco Giants 3-2 on Wednesday on their home turf in Game 7,  But now
the rumblings are on two of their top players and their possible depature from the franchise. Both pitcher
James Sheilds and Designated Hitter/First Baseman Billy Butler.

From reports, Shields is now a free agent and although their have beeof resigning
him on for the 2015 Season, Shields reportedly is in high demand now that The Royals have made the World Series and is the 3rd best starting pitcher on this winter’s free agent market, behind Detroit’s Max Scherzer and Oakland’s Jon Lester.
As far as Butler, The Royals reportedly holds a  $12 million option to resign him but there has been skeptism based on his production throughout last season and his age (29).

Guess we will find out before April what will happen.

Another big sports story has been the passing of St Louis Carindals player Oscar Taveares who dies, along with his girlfirend Sunday in a car accidnet in his hometown of  Sosua, Dominican Republic. Respects for the young star had taken place Tuesday during the Wd Series and earlier that day, his funeral had taken place in his hometwon where reportely mor etnan 5,000  peopel attened inckuding his Cardinals collegues and owner John Mozeliak.
An official report from the local police said that Taveras died of injuries at the age of  22. According to stltodaycom,  Taveras had made his major-league debut with the Cardinals in May and had hit a home run earlier this month in the National League championship series. He was part of the organziation since he was 16.
On Monday, Cardinals manager Mike Matheny reportedly shared his thoughts about the tragic development after begging off Sunday because he was too overcome with emotion.
"To say this is a horrible loss of a life ended too soon would be an understatement,'' Matheny said in a statement released by the Cardinals. "To talk about the potential of his abilities seemed to be untimely. All I wanted to do was get the guys together and be with our baseball family. I know the hurt that comes along with buying into the brotherhood of a baseball team. That hurt is just as powerful as the joys that come with this life. …
"We loved Oscar, and he loved us. That is what a team does, that is what a family does. You will be missed, Oscar."

We here at OUTTOWN would like to give our deepest

heartfelt condolences to Tavares' family, friends and

 colleagues.

Kanye West says no to perform in Sin City. According to TMZ, Ye was offered $4.5 million to perform in Las Vegas for nine days, but he turned down the proposition.
TMZ reportedly obtained a copy of the offer, which stipulates that ‘Ye would perform three shows a week, for three weeks, at the Axis at Planet Hollywood. That math works out to about $500,000 a show.
If he accepted the gig, this would’ve made him the best paid entertainer in the city (Britney Spears’ is a close second with about $475,000 per show).
Ye in Vegas? Cant see it.  Mars. Yes. LOL.

Former View co-host Sherri Shepherd returned to ABC on Tuesday and joked about The View's new co-hosts and set.
Appearing on Good Morning America to talk about her role in Cinderella on Broadway, Shepherd, w noted that both Barbara Walters and Whoopi Goldberg had come to see the show, sharing impressions of both of her former colleagues.
After GMA co-host Robin Roberts noted that Shepherd had impersonated two of the View hosts, Shepherd went into an impression of Rosie O'Donnell.
She began by mocking O'Donnell taking off her shoes on the first show of The View's new season, repeatedly lifting one of her legs in the air and saying, "Here's my foot. I'm Rosie O'Donnell."
"I got sciatica in my back. And I'm going through depression. &hellip How many other ailments can I get? I got 12 more in the year that I'll be on The View," Shepherd continued, nodding and saying "There you go" at the end of her bit.
She returned to the O'Donnell impression at other points in her interview, but insisted that she loves The View and the new lineup of hosts and watches the show every morning, screaming at the TV during Hot Topics.
Shepherd also shared her thoughts on new View co-host Nicolle Wallace, saying that Wallace is her "favorite kind of Republican because she can be changed."
And she even got in a dig at the show's new set, which has changed since the new season premiered.
"They got a new set. 'Cause it was all white it was kind of like heaven, but they fight too much so it wasn't heaven. But they borrowed some of, kind of, the colors from GMA, so I'm loving the colors," she said.

Rapper Nelly  and BET will be networked again, this time with a "real" reality show on his own with "Nellyville."

From reports, the  eight part hour-long  series will  detail the rapper's rap and business  career, and fathering both his own and his late sister's children and his relationship with Floyd Mayweather's ex, MissJackson.
Nelly , who stars in the mockumentary series "The Real Husbands of Hollywood" on BET,  executive produced the show  which will start airing Nov 25,  began taping late summer and was taped in St.Louis , Los Angeles & North Carolina where his NBA Team, The Bobcats, are located.

While we were on our BYE WEEK their were two stories that were noteworthy:

The 1999 Rams reunited at the Union Station , in downtown St. Louis on Oct 12. to commemorate the team winning the Super Bowl and subsequently dubbed, The “Greatest Show on Turf.”
The event was held as the 1999 Rams marked the 15th anniversary of their Super Bowl season.
Some of The Rams alumni who attended were Dick Vermeil and Mike Martz,, quarterback Kurt Warner (TOP PIC),  running Back Marshall Faulk and wide Receivers, Isaac Bruce (SECOND PIC) and Torry Holt (LASt PIC.
There was also a celebration during the Rams' home game at Edward Jones Dome when they played the 49ers  during halftime on Oct 13. The current Rams wore the 1999 throwback jerseys. The Rams will also wear their 1999 throwback jerseys when they host the New York Giants on Dec. 21 as the team celebrates its annual  Fan Appreciation Day.

Wonder if any of the past players were eager to get back on the grid iron to play a few yards and scrimmages. That would have been epic!

Michael Sam, was released by the Dallas Cowboys recently after spending seven weeks on their practice squad.
Sam reportedly has not appeared in a regular-season game. He was drafted in the seventh round by the Rams but cut in training camp before being signed to the 10-man practice squad for Dallas on Sept..3. The team reportedly announced the move on its website, explaining that it was intended to open a spot for linebacker Troy Davis, a second-year player from Central Florida whom the team brought in for a workout Monday. Sam, an all-American and co-defensive player of the year in the Southeastern Conference as a defensive end for Missouri, made his sexual orientation public after his final college season, in an interview with The New York Times. That sparked a wide debate over whether it would hurt his standing as an N.F.L. prospect because he was initially considered a third- or fourth-round pick.

We wish Sam well, but it just seems as though the NFL is having a tough time trying to sign him. Our question is, if Sam didn't reveal his sexuality, would he be signed and not play or just sitting on a bench waiting for his turn to play  because of his pick in the NFL?

This week Mizzou's assistant football coach  and radio broadcaster John Kadlec died at the age of 86.  w Over time, Kadlec, known for years as "Mr. Mizzou,"

ARTIST SPOTLIGHT

This week we feature Mitch Freeze of The Wanted Emcees

"THE WANTED EMCEES" originated in St. Louis, Missouri in 1987. Three best friends formed what they perceived as the "new" sound of Hip Hop/Rock.  By combining different styles from East and West Coast Rap Stars, while mixing backgrounds from Pop, Rock, and R&B, THE WANTED EMCEES created a sound that was very unique and different for the times. Some would even say ahead of the times for its day.

THE WANTED EMCEES would perform for whoever would listen and entered every contest they could find. This persistence earned them the 1990 Title of Missouri State Rap Champions. They held this Title for two years through many competitions and battles.  They had a successful release of "KrackerJack" on their own label, CMT Records. The song received some marginal radio play in and around the St. Louis area in 1992, and gave the band some local notoriety.

Over the course of time, THE WANTED EMCEES have refined their art, changing with the times, performing in the Hip-Hop Underground scene in and around St. Louis. There were setbacks, challenges, and triumphs through this time period, but THE WANTED EMCEES stayed true to the game, and never gave up.  THE WANTED EMCEES signed with Chained Duck Records in 2002, and produced an album with 12 songs.

THE WANTED EMCEES have made a mark in the history pages of Hip Hop/Rap. MITCH FREEZE, C.D., and DJ KMT are the members of THE WANTED EMCEES, and can be defined as the BEST ORIGINAL HIP HOP TRIO with the deepest of old school roots.

Why did POTUS make a point that he feel that he had to hug and kiss that nurse who was treated for ebola that she was OK? Why Spanky imply that Tyrese was cast couching for the Baby Boy role? And why did Tyrese respond with a video posted on social media with him wearing a fur and smoking a stogie? And why did Spanky rebut with a video parodying Tyrese video?  And why is he now saying that he lied about Tyrese?  Why did  Tiny get her eyes permanently changed to gray? Why did Suge Knight and Katt Williams steal that female photographers camera? Why is there a bacteria recall on baby wipes? Why are some people taking selfies with bears? Why was it such a big deal that Beyonce had hair bangs?  And why was Beyonce's mom backing her thang up on Jamie Foxx on stage recently? Why is Mama June trying to cover up the fact that her ex  was accused of molesting her daughter? And why is the police chief of Ferguson supposedly resigning?
