THE BIG ILLI MO STORIES THIS WEEK ARE:

Chicago native NBA superstar Dwyane Wade is making news for his latest outfit for Esquire magazine. In his recent photo shoot, Wade is wearing a black jumpsuit with gold chain over his bare chest and a blue blazer draped over his shoulders like a cape.
Wade responded to some of the backlash on Thursday, posting an Instagram photo of himself in a suit side-by-side the controversial outfit. Wade decided to tackle the blurred delineation between style and fashion, sharing his point of view on the topic:
STYLE vs FASHION: The Age Old Question: I was
honored to be selected with other very Stylish and
Fashionable Men by @esquire to find the answer. Today,
with more people having access to the elusive world of
fashion through social media and the Internet, the two
seem to have intertwined. To me: STYLE is timeless
, understandable, comfortable, effortless, defines a person
and is everyday. Look: Tuxedo by Burberry, Shirt by
London, Tie @TheTieBar FASHION is trendy, edgy, fun a
way for designers to create moving art and to not just
make a statement but Scream it. Look:
 Jumpsuit/Jacket/Chain @Versace, Shoes
by @deltoroshoes Anyone can buy FASHION right off the
Runway but STYLE comes from within. So whether you
gravitate more towards FASHION or STYLE/ STYLE or
FASHION it is still an expression of self.--end quote
Our thing is, it shouldnt be any surprise of what he
wears these days. Most of his stylings have been a bit
outlandish, but we think he is filling a void in the
sports world of an athlete who bends fashion. It hasnt
been one since Dennis Rodman that a male athlete has
caused stirs with their fashion choices (The female
counterpart is Serena Williams). Is it a bit out there?
Yes. But that is fashion. It is suppose to create conversation and surprise.

Chicago native comedic actor Craig Robinson's new comedy series Mr Robinson is a summer hit since its debut earlier this month,  Mr. Robinson drew the best summer comedy debut viewership since 2007 with 4.6 million tuning in. In fact, the Craig Robinson-led high school music teacher show is the second-highest-rated summer comedy debut on any of the Big 4 in six years. A second episode of Mr. Robinson at 9:30 PM saw a 17% drop from its lead-in in the demo and an 18% fall in viewers to 3.79 million. NBC’s burn-off plan for the six-episode series is to play two episodes a week for three weeks with fellow freshman The Carmichael Show to take over the slot on August 26.

Mizzou alum Michael Sam is making more news beside being the  first openly-gay player to compete in a professional football area, being signed to the Canadian Football League--there have been rumblings that his teammates are hating on him for his celeb status,
Moreover, his  omission from the Montreal Alouettes' lineup against the Edmonton Eskimos last Thursday caused whispers. Sam reportedly limped off the practice field last Monday and was placed on the one-game injured list with a back injury Tuesday.  All considered, the rumors have been floating around that the talk about Sam's high salary and players' dissatisfaction with his "preferential treatment," some are debating just how much value Sam is bringing to the team. Consider what Herb Zurkowsky of The Montreal Gazette had to say about Sam this week:
Sam, the first openly-gay player in professional football, was playing his first competitive game in about a year. Not surprisingly, he was a total non-factor in the Als’ 26-23 loss.

Sam played sparingly, lining up on the boundary side of the line. Twelve snaps in his debut. He got on the field for the first time during the Redblacks’ second offensive series. He failed to register a tackle and was badly fooled on a play-action pass in the third quarter, Henry Burris faking the handoff, instead throwing 11 yards to fullback Patrick Lavoie for a touchdown.

After all the anticipation, it turned out being much ado about nothing. ...

Some of the Als’ problems specifically concern Sam. When he was allowed to return, and once the regular-season began, Sam immediately went on the team’s 46-man roster. So, while he hasn’t dressed for games, Sam has collected his game cheque on a weekly basis – still having failed to prove anything.
OUCH! Well it is not his fault that he got injured and that he his getting PAID. They signed him--he didnt sign himself--OKAY!

UPDATE: This past weekend Sam announced that he was walking away from football for the time being claiming that the trail of all the media hype over him has taken a toll on his mental status.

As the St Louis Rams began its training camp at Rams Park in Earth City, Mo and preps for its foirst preseaon game againstteh Oakland raiders  at The Oakland Collesium this Friday, the talk about their
future on the West Coast continues.

According to report from stltoday.com, it appears Rams owner Stan Kroenke and the National Football League have reached a resolution on the cross-ownership issue.
NFL rules prohibit club owners from owning NBA, NHL, or major league baseball teams in other markets that have NFL teams. Besides the Rams, Kroenke also owns the NBA’s Denver Nuggets and the NHL’s Colorado Avalanche, which violates the cross-ownership rules.
But Kroenke reportedly s submitted a plan that league commissioner Roger Goodell indicated should meet league approval, the details of which were not known.
“The finance committee has been considering this for some period of time,” Goodell said earlier in the week. “They gave Stan until June 15 of this year to submit a plan. He’s done so. There was a great report from Bob McNair, the chairman of the finance committee (Tuesday).”
“We believe that the plan that he’s submitted will be in compliance with ownership policies,” Goodell said. “It’ll be taken to the finance committee (for approval), probably in September.”

A rolling Empire singing competition did not be make its planned stop in St. Louis on Tuesday, with Fox citing the recent unrest in nearby Ferguson. The show made a last-minute announcement on Monday night that its "Next Empire Artist" bus tour will instead take place in Kansas City, beginning Wednesday. The Empire bus was scheduled to stop at Ballpark Village, across the street from Busch Stadium in downtown St. Louis.
According to Fox, the bus is outfitted with a recording studio where fans can record their own versions of Empire songs. The 15-date tour also gives singers a chance to enter a contest to win a cameo on the hit show. It’s unclear whether Fox plans to swing back through St. Louis at some point. After Kansas City, the Empire tour will carry on to Dallas, New Orleans and Nashville. Representatives did not return requests for comment.

Be on the look out for the commercial promotion Next Up Live, a hip hop showcase featuring St. Louis Hip Hop artists to air  on Charter Cable on Vh1 and BET. The event will take place August 16th @ The Rustic Goat. doors at 6 Show at 7.  Don't forget, reduced entry with a school supply!

HINT 2. The female hosts a popular weekday show on one of the St Louis TV networks and the male has a weekly feature on that show.

HINT 3.She replaced a longtime host of this show and he is into getting people "shaped up."

Who is the female and who is the male? (If you know the answer comment below in the comment boxes)

This week we feature recent natural fitness champ and St Louisan JiNai Reed.

This week we feature St Louis socialite Sheryl Denise Rogers, who is sporting natural hair dyed blonde and a summer silk multicolored floor length dress that accentuates her sleek frame. She is also celebrating her b-day in this eye catching number.

.

Why did Kelly Osbourne think that her comment about Latinos cleaning toilets on the View would refute Trumps numbers with the Latino community was not going to cause controversy? Why is people making such a big deal about Kylie Jenner turning 18? And why were their countdowns for her b-day to come? Why did IK sucker punch Geno Smith in the lockeroom? And why was IK picked up by another team after being released from his former team after the punch? Why is Janet mumbling her lyrics  in her latest single "No Sleep?" And why are most cell phones glass  so easy to shatter?punch
