Well, the presidency of Barack Obama is quickly coming to an end and it was more evident when he gave his final speech in Chicago that was held at McCormick Place, the venue for Obama's 2012 Election Night celebration.

The hour long speech was more of the hope and promises that he hoped to accomplish but we stressed that it takes us to continue to galvanize and make progress happen in our lives. Our best part of the speech is when he said that people of color, mainly black people, are not out here marching and protesting for their rights just to be a nuisance but that its because of what their past has taught for them to do to battle wrongs in this country.

But the highlight was when he thanked his wife, Michelle, and his family for their support causing him to bring out a handkerchief to wipe his teary eyes and when their daughter Malia broke down and cried (did you all see how composed Michelle was, that was interesting.)

And another question that was buzzing was where was the Obamas youngest daughter Sasha? Well, she was still n D.C. and she was studying for a test. But we think she should have been there and maybe she could have done a makeup test.

But nevertheless, these eight years have been a test for all of us.  History was made of his Presidency. It also challenged us on How to adjust to a person of color in the Oval Office and  regarding all of us as far as inclusion and, in the words of Solange, "a seat at the table."

Will he be missed? Definitely. But as he said in his speech, he is still with us, just as a citizen.

As far as the TV and streaming ratings of his speech, as of this writing, they haven't been tabulated.

So what were your thoughts of his speech an/or his Presidency? Comment in the comment box below.
