This week, I decided to feature three links to some websites and social media outlets from people who emailed me to feature their project or event.
A picture of the famous painter Pablo Picasso's Guernica, 1937
A couple weeks ago, a blog surfer named Bella J emailed me about a site for Picasso art connoisseurs she wanted me to feature on my blog. She spotted my blog from a post in 2013 involving my picks of the Best Black Albums of All Time.
Here is what the body of her email read:
Hi - my name is Bella, and I work at Artsy. While researching Pablo Picasso, I found your page: http://outstagin.blogspot.com/ 2013/11/.
I am reaching out to certain website and blog owners that publish content in line with our mission to expand the art market to support more artists and art in the world. We hope to continue promoting arts education and accessibility with your help.
Our Pablo Picasso page provides visitors with Picasso's bio, over 3500 of his works, exclusive articles, and up-to-date Picasso exhibition listings. The page also includes related artists and categories, allowing viewers to discover art beyond our Picasso page.

St Louis native Joel P.E. King is the next person who contacted me. King is a St Louis giant in the theater world for 20 years. I had the privilege of meeting King years ago through the late theater actress and educator Lisa Colbert Bandele when I was scouting for a male actor to play in a stage production I was directing called, The Dutchman.
Fast forward, currently he has a residency as a director at Marietta Square Theater in Marietta, Ga. and can be seen in the new webseries PENTHOUSE SWEETS on Youtube starting this Friday, a series which he also produced and directed.
He inboxed me on Facebook and sent this info to those who are inspiring actors and actresses in the St Louis area:

St Louis area fashionista and fashion designer Ola Hawatmeh is having a charity based fashion show. She is another person who I have known for years in the STL fashion event circles and worked with her on various fashion events and projects. She also was pivotal inspiring me to create the all male fashion show contest Mista Couture.
FACTS!
She emailed me her event info:

REWINDERZ
St. Louis native rap/hip-hop artist Chingy has been slowly making his comeback on the music scene thsi year starting with his stint on the successful Millennium tour with B2K. He also had a BET special "Finding Chingy" which aired where he talked about his career highs and lows. Even recently, on social media, he made headlines involving comedian Tiffany Haddish alleging she had a brief "bump and romp" with the rapper and that he had a memory lapse of the situation (and that Chingy denies)
Well, back in October 2012 in his hometown, he was toting Shpilka Vodka as its spokesperson and a vodka tasting party was thrown in celebration at the now defunct Coco Louco Brasil (which closed in 2013) that was located in the Central West End of St Louis area. It also doubled as a music showcase for the local music talent.
And OUTSTAGN BLOGSPOT was there.

For this week, I have one.
Recently, I went to Panda Express in the St Louis area (I am generalizing to protect the innocent LOL). It was late evening and I was picking up some food. So while I was waiting for my order pickup, some of the young urban workers there (Had to have been early 20s), male and female, who were in the area where food is served mostly near where the serving area ends and the kitchen begins. So as young folk do when they are idle, they were actually taking selfies of each other with their cell phones during work. Yes, you heard me. Seflies! And mind you, there hardly no one serving food at this time. No mind you, its almost close to closing time and during that time, people are thinking more of starting to cleanup and go home....but taking selfies I don't think is part of it. Especially, if there are still customers to order food.
I assumed the manager wasnt there because I am sure those Androids and Iphones would not be flashing pics with the boss around.
So I hope.
And you dont know who is there disguised as a customer to observe and report. OKAY?
I'm just saying.
