HAPPY BDAY TO PRESIDENT BARACK
OBAMA WHO WILL CELEBRATE ON
AUGUST 3.

Mr Obama kicked off his birthday weekend
with a round of golf  today, Saturday and
planned to
spend time with friends at Camp David.
Obama, who turns 52 on Sunday, left the
White House unusually early for the half-hour
trip by motorcade to Andrews Air Force Base
in Maryland to squeeze in some golf before the
celebration was to shift to the presidential
retreat.

Former Chicagoan Oprah Winfrey's OWN cable station has
made a turnaround
in the ratings and its revenue. According to Patty 411.com,
after a bumpy start,
OWN is breaking records
left and right.

With the addition of better programming, people are tuning
in and liking the
shows (The Have & Have Nots, Welcome To Sweetie
Pie's, Iyanla Fix My Life,
Love Thy Neighbor, Oprah's Next Chapter, Oprah's
Masterclass, Where Are
They Now, the soap operas One Life To Live & All My
Children,
just to name a few).

Former Football Star/Broadcaster Deion Sanders has a new
reality show
called Primetime debuting in a few weeks. The Next
Chapter series will
feature Singer Gloria Estefan on August 4th, Director
Lee Daniels
on August 11th, Actress Lindsay Lohan on August 18th
and the legendary Tina
Turner on August 25th. Bishop TD Jakes returns on
Sunday, September 8th
with Lifeclass.\

In other Oprah news, she is making the promotions rounds.
On August 15th
she will be joining  STL native Andy Cohen on his
popular show Watch What Happens
Live on the
Bravo network.

Lee Daniels' The Butler opens in theatres August 16th
and is the true story of
White House Butler Eugene Allen, who served under
eight presidents between
1952-1986

Chicago native designer Kate Pankoke is getting something
most Project Runway designers don't -- a second chance.
As part of a new twist introduced this season -- dubbed
"Runway Redemption" -- viewers got to vote which of thee
former competitors would return.

Pankoke, a 24-year-old from Chicago who originally was
on season 11, beat
out season eight's Valerie Mayen and season six's
Lawrence Coleman for the honor, as revealed in last
week's season 12 premiere.

During her original season -- the show's first "teams"

edition -- Pankoke was sent home during a
unconventional challenge that called for the
designers to create a prom dress out of duct tape.

In a surprising double elimination, both Pankoke and

her teammate Tu Suthiwat Nakchat were sent home.

Theres is also another Chicagoan on the show

Kahindo Mateene, who is originally from

Goma, Democratic Republic of the Congo.

TO SWEETIE PIES.
Slim will be making several appearances on the award winning hit show that can been on OWN.

From reports,  a  judge in St. Louis County has denied a request from Larry Conners that a "no-compete" clause be immediately suspended so the former KMOV (Channel 4) anchorman could seek television work.
Merle Silverstein, Conner's attorney, said St. Louis
County Circuit Judge Kristine Kerr denied the
temporary restraining order against the clause, and
ordered Conners and the station to appear in court on
Sept. 3.
Last month, Conners wrote on Facebook that he had
a potential television job in St. Louis, but said he could
not pursue it because of the clause in his contract with
KMOV.Conners, 66, was fired May 21 after spending
37 years in St. Louis television — the last 27 as an
anchor at KMOV.
The dismissal came after a series of events that
began when Conners implied in a May 13 Facebook post that he may have been targeted by the IRS
after interviewing President Barack Obama in 2012. The IRS claims Conners and his wife, Janet L.
Conners, owe more than $85,000 from 2008, 2009 and 2010.
Conners also has a pending allegation of age discrimination before the Equal Employment
Opportunity Commission.

STL  based playwright/producer Chrys Yvette just wrapped the filming her
first movie HAPPY HOUR that she directed. It was filmed at Paragon Theatre in
Midtown St Louis.

Green with a
special appearance by Murphy Lee and Kyjuan of the
St Lunatics (YOURS TRULY also
assisted the director in the project). The film
is set to be released in the Fall. To see the interview that she done on

STL DISHN

Which STL based comedian is claiming another STL based comedian is
piggybacking on their comedy bookings for their shows?

HINT 1. Both are male

HINT 2. Both have weekly comedy nites in St Louis.

HINT 3. The comic claiming this shares teh same last name as a popular blues singer. The other
shares the same last name of a popular sports figure in St Louis.

WHO ARE THEY?

This week we feature STL based singer Aloha who changed up her glam look recently when she
performed at Cafe Soul at The Pageant. She sported long dookey braids, a black sports cap, army
fatigue  jacket, a Janet tee, and spandex. If we had to give the look a name we, would say,
B-girl chic.

Why was George Zimmerman only given a warning by the police when he was stopped for speeding
and found his gun? Why does it seem the William and Kate baby isnt holding the interest of
the public as expected?  Why does the Democratic party want Anthony Weiner to steo run
for Mayor when Clinton didnt step down when he was President? Why did Colin Powell get caught
cheating on Facebook? Why did Foxy
Brown steal some hair weave? Why was DMX driving a 1978 station wagon? Why did
Michael Jordan's son tweet a
penis pic? Why arent these singing talent shows
(outside of American Idol)
producing any recording artists? AND Why didnt
Wendy Racqel Robinson show up to host the TGT White Party Concert at Chaifetz in ST Louis?
