More than 30 years after he graduated high school, President Obama's senior prom pictures have emerged in public, featuring the president when he was 17 years old, clad in a white sport coat and a lei, posing for pictures with his friends.
The photos, obtained by TIME, show Mr. Obama, then a student at Punahou School in Hawaii, hanging out with his date Megan Hughes, his friend Greg Orme, and Orme's date Kelli Allman (then McCormack), according to Allman, who provided the photos to TIME.
"It was a really fun, happy time. We were all cracking up, and everyone was smiling," Allman told TIME. "It was pretty typical from there out as far as what happens at prom: the dinner and the dancing and the photos."
Allman also provided to TIME a photo of Mr. Obama's signature in her 1979 yearbook, in which the now-president complimented Allman as "sweet and foxy," and offered to buy her lunch.

Chicago bred rap superstar Kanye West hit "Saturday Night Live" last weekend for a performance of two tracks. The rapper was the musical guest on Saturday night's episode, hosted by Ben Affleck.
West took the stage to perform "New Slaves" and "Black Skinhead" during the episode. Censors seemed to miss a number of choice words, as West was audibly heard using the n-word during both songs.

The performance was the second big Kanye stunt in as many days. The 35-year-old rapper premiered "New Slaves," by projecting audio and video for the song on the sides of buildings across the world.

At a recent performance, West shot down rumors that he would participate in a sketch on the show. "Someone asked me, 'When you do 'SNL,' are you going to do a skit about the paparazzi and humanize yourself?'" West said during the show on Wednesday, referencing a recent run-in with the paparazzi. "What the f--k do I have to apologize for? When did I become inhuman? Or was it them demonizing me and harassing me that made me less than human?"

The album artwork for West's upcoming "Yeezus" album was also released this weekend. The gold-adorned album will hit stores on June 18.

American Idol has nailed down its first alum turned judge: Chicago native Jennifer Hudson
Multiple sources confirm exclusively to E! News that the Oscar-winning singer has signed a deal to sit at the judges' table this fall for season 13. The other two spots are also intended for former Idol contestants:Kelly Clarkson and either Adam Lambertor Clay Aiken
We're told that Clarkson is also close to signing on. No word yet on whether Lambert or Aiken will fill the final spot, but producers are expected to keep the panel to three members.
The "superstar-alum" theme is aimed at reclaiming some of Idol's lost viewership—the series is down about 10 million viewers from two years ago, in part because of the success of The Voice.

Chicagoan model Sesamir Yearby signed recently a  contract as the new face of Black Opal for its mens line.

Downtown St. Louis was buzzing Thursday night with the English Premier League performing at Busch Stadium.People reportedly  spent a lot of time standing in lines for souvenirs or the chance to pose with the Europe league trophy won earlier this month by Chelsea. Firefighters also stood at the entrances collecting donations for victims of the Oklahoma tornado. Players paid tribute to them by wearing black arm bands. But mostly this was all about getting their kicks, for both fans and the visiting teams. A pep rally had taken place prior to the game at Kiener Plaza.

ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI) – Larry Conners has been on the air in St. Louis since 1976. He even did a stint here at Channel 2. Conners says he’s still mystified about his firing. He says the next steps are talking to his lawyers and his union.

Conners was fired from KMOV after a Facebook post. In it he asked whether some trouble he’s having with the IRS was made worse by a contentious interview he did with President Obama in April 2012.

“I’m not trying to embarrass the station or cause issues. I’m simply doing what I thought they wanted me to do. They had no problems, they had seen all of these facebook postings I made. I would often ask something like, is it common sense that you would suspend a kid from school if he points his finger at someone and goes bang bang? I questioned those kinds of things all the time.” said former Channel 4 News Anchor Larry Conners.

KMOV television management issued a statement about the dismissal of the longest-serving news anchor currently working in St. Louis, saying, in part, “Larry is certainly entitled to his opinion, but taking a personal political position on one of the station’s facebook pages creates an appearance of bias that is inconsistent with important journalistic standards.”

“I wouldn’t have even brought the subject up if there had not been the so-called rogue agents story going on. Because remember, I had been going through this for months. I never said anything up to that point. It was only based on the news story breaking and I thought, I’m seeing all these cases come up, and they supposedly were going after different groups and individuals. I raised the question to the forum to start conversation.” said Larry Conners.

But channel 4 management notes Conner’s dispute with the IRS had been going on for years before the April, 2012 Obama interview. Conners contends that he was merely raising the question of whether his Obama interview might have led to more IRS scrutiny. he says the next steps will come from his Union and from his attorney.

You can see the full interview with Conners on The Jaco Report at 8:30am Sunday morning on FOX 2.
