HEY OUTSTAGRS!

ITS TIME!!

TO GET ON STAGE!!

Black History Month, or National African American History Month, is an annual celebration of achievements by black Americans and a time for recognizing the central role of African Americans in U.S. history. The event grew out of “Negro History Week,” the brainchild of noted historian Carter G. Woodson and other prominent African Americans. Since 1976, every U.S. president has officially designated the month of February as Black History Month. Other countries around the world, including Canada and the United Kingdom, also devote a month to celebrating black history.

ILLI MO SPOTLIGHT

This Sunday, the focus will be on the East Coast with

the Superbowl with the Seattle Seahawks against The

Denver Broncos. Our question is, are there any players

on either team who are from the Illinois and/or Missouri

area who will be in attendance. And the answer is YES.

Here are those players:

On the DENVER side its Sylvester Williams an American

the National Football League(NFL). Williams played college

American honors. He was drafted by the Denver Broncos in

the first round of the 2013 NFL Draft. He is from Jefferson,

Mo.

AND

Marquice Jermal Cole [Mar-KWEECE] an American

football cornerback who is currently playing for the Denver

Broncos the National Football League. He was signed by

the Oakland Raiders as an undrafted free agent in 2007. He

played college football at Northwestern. He is

from Hazelcrest, Ill.

ON THE SEATTLE side its O'Brien Schofield an American

Football League (NFL). He was drafted by the Arizona

Cardinals in the 2010 NFL Draft and played three season for

them. He attended North Chicago Community High School.

But we all know the focus will be on Seattle's Richard

Sherman to see if he gets turned up again....CBS we are

sure are thanking him for his emotional release because

it knows he will be a ratings winner as  people will

already be watching....now they will be watching for any

outbursts.

UPDATE: CONGRATS TO SEATTLE and its only ILLI MOian linebacker O'Brien Schofield who  picked up a tackle for loss with about five minutes left in the fourth quarter of the Superbowl where they won  43-8,

Last Sunday at the Grammy Awards at Nokia Theatre in

Hollywood the highlights were Beyonce's sexy opening of

the show, Pharrell's hat,  and Macklemore's couples

wedding with Madonna and Queen Latifah. As far as the

winners, the biggest were Macklemore, Daft Punk  and

Pharrell all tied with four.....There were two artists from the

ILLINOIS/MISSOURI area who were winners--no, it wasnt

Kanye (who was nominated for two) or Eminem (nominated

for one), but Oak Park, Ill comedian Kathy Griffin and

Chicago native singer Lalah Hathaway. Griffin won for Best

Comedy Album for "Calm Down Gurrrl" after being

nominated six consecutive times prior. Hathaway won for

Best R&B Performance with the jazz band Snarky Puppies

for a remake of her song "Something."

TRIVIA: Lalah is in a rare category of a child of a parent

to have won Grammy Awards. Her late father R&B

singer/producer Donny Hathaway won a Grammy in 1973

for Best Pop Duo or Group Performance with Roberta

Flack for the song, "Where is the Love". The others are

Nat King Cole and Natalie Cole (father/daughter) and

Bob Dylan and his son Jakob Dylan of the Wallflowers.

FOOD BITEZ

One of the staple foods diuring a SuperBowl party are chicken wings....It is a cuisine of the United States, known as as a chicken wing section (wingette or drumette) that is generally deep-fried, unbreaded, and coated in vinegar-based cayenne pepper hot sauce and butter in the kitchen.[1] They are served hot, along withcelery sticks and/or carrot sticks with blue cheese dressing for dipping.
They were created in Buffalo, New York. The residents of Buffalo generally refer to them as "wings" or "chicken wings" and never use the term "hot wings" or "Buffalo Wings" to describe them.[2]\

Why didnt Kendrick Lamar win any of his seven nominations? Why did Pharrell wear that huge hat?  Why does LL Cool J always panders to Taylor Swift? And why was she up in the front dancing blocking peoples view of the show? Why was she bobbing her head back and froth while she was performing at the piano? And why didnt her people do the fake out like she did when she didnt win Album of the Year? Why does Pink continues to do her circus rope act during her performances? Why wasnt the Isley Brothers given recognition for their Hall of Fame award? Why did Madonna bring her adopted son t the Grammy Awards? Why did Queen Latifah do the officiating of the couples ceremony? And why did Macklemore go on Twitter to tweet to Kendrick Lamar that he was sorry he robbed him of the Rap Album award?

Why was POTUS' speech already on the Internet before he spoke it? And why were the Repblicans rebuttles already on Twitter before their time? Why arent people allowed to park at the stadium in New Jersey for the Superbowl? Why was Atlanta unprepared for the ice storm it had? Why did CNN post the video of the toddler cussing ut his parents? And why were his parents egging the child to cuss? Why are people up in arms over an interracial couple in the new Cheerios commercial?
