A year in, the blog started to become more news oriented with all types news (hard news and entertainment). It was now called OUTTOWN and it became more of a newsletter as well as attending events and capturing them through pics. The blog was now called OUTTOWN. The following blog had info about Rev Al Sharpton coming to St Louis to protest MODOT and their not including minorities on their contracts, a segment called MAAT BITZ where I talked about my goings on, this one involving seeing myself in the audience for the taping of NBC's Last Comic Standing in L.A. (PICTURED) where I traveled to earlier that summer as well as St Louis bred rapper Nelly's musical involvement with Janet. It also had a calendar of events that were going on in the STL area. And the debut of the segment WORDZ TO THE WHYZ where popular cultural events are questioned with the question "Why?"

THE MILLION POUND CHALLENGE FEE CONCERT W/DR. IAN At UNION STATION--July 28
Second year in, we started attending more events and becoming a staple in the st Louis blogosphere. One particular event was the Million Pound Challenge concert with then Celebrity Fit Club TV personality Dr Ian who spearheaded this event to help people lose weight. Hundreds attended at Union Station in St Louis. Some of the celebs who came through were Tom Joyner Morning Show's Jay Anthony Brown, singer Kelly Price and Joe, and rappers slick Rick and Biz MArkie to name a few.

THE TOWn--ALL STAR GAME AFTER PARTIES AT LUMEN AND LURE JULY 14
In year four, the blog captured some of the first-time events that came through St Louis. In July 2009, St. Louis became the host city for the MLB All Star Game held at Busch Stadium and there were several after parties that were thrown including one that was held at Lumen where many star athletes (PICTURED Derek Jeter)and celebrities attended.

In year six, the blog reached its peak in regards to followers (over 7,000 a week), the blog was also seen in edited form in the St Louis Evening Whirl, spun off the blog to a Blog talk radio station, and was shared by STL blogger B-Gyrl and events continued to be covered, one being the Bell Biv Devoe concert at Soldiers Memorial.

UPDATE:MEET THE
FIRST ROUND CONTESTANTS FOR THE 4th ANNUAL MISTA COUTURE CHARITY STYLE CONTEST!
In year seven, my company Maatology, began producing more events including the annual Mista Couture Charity Style Contest. in the fourth year of this event, a poll was posted for people to cast their vote for who they wanted to see win the Online Title and over 1,000 people cast their votes.
