gasp.

It has 19 killer tracks from some of todays hottest STL artists inclduing Joe College, J-Biggs, Toyy, Jia Davis ., Klassic and many more (My fave is Klassic's "Your Loss" -a sure fire radio hit for sure)...Communique PR's Renee Thomas Woods hip me to a book signing coming up this month with Belleville native and ex-FBI agent Cary Thornton, who just released a book, "Oath of Office" about his experiences growing up black in St. Louis and his experiences with the FBI.

THIS WEEK FEB 2007
In national news, Kudos to the Naptown Colts for winnin Super Bowl 41 and Tony Dungey (PICTURED ABOVE) for being the 1st African American coach  to win the trophy. I wonder whurr Dungy is going after the Superbowl? It would be cool if he was going to chill in the hood somehwurr instead of the typical Disneyworld rhetoric. And according to the USA Ad meter, the Top Commercial was Bud Light's crab worship spot (PICTURED ABOVE) (I thought this was pretty cool too). And kudos to Prince (PICTURED ABOVE) for a fantastic Half Time SuperBowl show. It was classic Prince. He performed err thing from Lets Go Crazy, Bob Dylan's All Along the Watchtower" and the closer, the apropo, "Purple Rain"( I was glad he took that kerchief off his doo. The rain was killing it). And speaking of the rain, what wa sup with the cameras used at the game? One camera was filled with dew drops. You would think they would have an intern with a hanky to get that taken care of. Overall, it was a very historic Bowl.

THIS WEEK FEB 2008
Prior to Super Tuesday, Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama drew tens of thousands to the Edward Jones Dome last Saturday . "This is our moment. This is our time. And if you stand with me and vote for me … if you are not willing to settle … you and I together, we will remake this country and we will change the world!'' Obama declared at the end of a 40-minute address that frequently ignited cheers from a crowd that Dome officials estimated at more than 20,000.

THIS WEEK FEB 2009
Nelly had his VIP SuperBowl Party last Sunday at his new restaurant the Skybox (formerly the Hollywood in Lacelde's Landing) that he owns with Cleveland Cav's and St. Louis native Larry Hughes, former Rams player Marshall Faulk and Portland Trailblazers and East St. Louis native Darius Miles. From a source, it was STL stars all through including Nelly, the St. Lunatics, Hughes, rapper Gotti. and the Derrty ENt crew. I also heard that I-N-D-E-P-E-D-E-N-T rapper Lil Webbie was also gettin his party on.

THIS WEEK FEB 2010
Chicago talk show queen Oprah Winfrey was involved in her second Superbowl commercial with David Letterman (the other was in 2007). The 18-second promo for “Late Show With David Letterman” was one of the highlights of the commercials during Super Bowl XLIV. The spot, taped last week at the Ed Sullivan Theater, got a one-time-only airing, as Winfrey, Letterman and rival talk show host Jay Leno sharing the couch as Winfrey tries to bring peace to Letterman and Leno.

THIS WEEK FEB 2011
The Democratic Party announced this week that Charlotte would be the home of their four-day nominating convention in 2012, and the news came via First Lady Michelle Obama in an e-mail, where she said Barack and her want a “people’s convention.

THIS WEEK FEB 2012
The producer of American Idol, Nigel Lythgoe has given an open invitation to President Barack Obama and Rev. Al Green to sing a duet on the show after the viral You Tube hit of Obama singing the first line to Green’s classic hit, “Let’s Stay Together” last month at a fundraiser at the Apollo in Harlem (It’s up to four million hits so far and counting) on a dare from his aides and where Green was going to perform.

THIS WEEK FEB 2013
Last Thursday, thousands filed through the Cathedral Basilica in the Central West End in St. Louis at Stan Musial's six-hour public visitation,  and last Saturday hundreds more attended the service. From reports, hundreds more were waiting at the more prominent of the two Musial statues outside Busch Stadium, where fans reportedly gathered. Next to the statues were reportedly flowers, balloons, teddy bears, helmets, autographed items and a homemade sign that read "Thanks for the memories. You live in our hearts, No. 6."

THIS WEEK FEB 2014
This Sunday, the focus will be on the East Coast with the Superbowl with the Seattle Seahawks against The Denver Broncos.

(VOICE-OFF, TALLY OR ELECT)

WORDZ

TO

THE

WHYZ

Why didnt Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson throw the last pass to Marshawn Lynch? And why did the clock continue to run during that time? Why are the dancing sharks during Katy Perry's halftime show getting all this pub? Why did Lenny Kravitz only stay to perform one song with Perry? And why did  Perry think she could keep up with Missy  Elliot? Why were most of the Super Bowl commercials so depressing? Why were there so many stories on the progress of Bobbi Kristina's health in the hospital? And why were there so many reports that she had already died?
Why did NBC keep Brian Williams' war correspondent story falsity a secret?  Why isnt Sherri Shepherd holding up her end of the bargain with the surrogate baby situation? Why wasnt Ledisi invited to perform the tribute to the film Selma at Sunday's Grammies? And why did they ask Beyonce to perform in her place? Why  was Suge Knight in  such a hurry when he drove off the set of the NWA movie? Why are so many football players getting caught in prostitute stings? Why are we not surprised that Bruce Jenner is transforming into a woman? And why are the measles making a comeback?

HEY!!! If you have some scoop, a fashion pic you want

to be voted on or want to advertise on this blog email to
