THE TOP ILLI MO STORIES THIS WEEK ARE:
ActorTerrence Howard, invited Rolling Stone into his

Chicago penthouse recently and gave a provocative

 interview for the magazine.

BELOW ARE SOME EXCERPTS:

Howard is a man of 432 faces: While looking at himself

in the mirror wearing silk loungewear and a scarf, Howard

explained that in his head he's actually a young boy - but only

 for that moment.

Howard is a mathematical genius, according to

Howard: As the actor explained, the entire world is doing

math wrong and he is the only one to have figured out the

true order of the universe. "This is the last century that our

children will ever have been taught that one times one is

one," Howard said. "They won't have to grow up in

ignorance. Twenty years from now, they'll know that one

 times one equals two."

. Howard says he isn't "difficult" for refusing to take

direction: The actor has a notorious reputation for being

difficult, which started on the set of 1999's The Best Man.

But Howard says what they called being "difficult" was

 actually just ingenious acting.

Howard is never at fault for hitting women:

When his second wife Michelle Ghent was spotted with a

black eye after a 2013 trip to Costa Rica, Howard claimed

she was trying to Mace him "and you can't see anything so

all you can do is try to bat somebody away, and I think that

something caught her. But I wasn't trying to hit her."

Howard's controlling attitude gave his third wife

agoraphobia:Throughout the interview, Howard and his

third wife Pak pretended to be happily married and living

together. It was only later that it was revealed the couple had

separated and filed for divorce months prior to the interview -

and it's clear why the couple didn't make it.

But, I mean, he's not perfect. Doesn't do the dishes. Doesn't cook. Doesn't lift a finger. ... We've never been to the

supermarket together. We've never been to the movies. I've

never gotten a gift from him. Never, never

.
"And then every minute that he has free, it's to do this," Pak

said, referencing the plastic shapes. "I help him, cutting,

drawing and putting things together. I've developed a slight

form of agoraphobia lately. I never go out. I have no friends

here. I feel like Rapunzel, you know, stuck in a penthouse

 with my baby."

Howard loves playing guests his blackmail CD: Though

Howard said he doesn't "talk about my ex-wife because I

don't talk about negative things," he later played the entire

13-minute recording of a phone call in which Ghent

attempted to extort him.

In the call, Ghent threatens to sell the tabloids tapes of him

having phone sex and dancing naked if he doesn't pay her

because "You're a f---ing sociopath. Everybody should know

it. I'm so sick of the sh-- that you've put me through."

Howard apparently played the tape to show that Ghent is the

villain in their relationship, a stance that was seriously

undermined when he, according to the writer, "[glared] at the

laptop, leaning toward it, hissing, 'You f---ing bitch. Shut the

f--- up! Shut the f--- up!'"

Wow can you say....straightjacket?

Actress and game show host  and Doloth, Ill native Jane

Lynch won her second Emmy of her career at The Creative

Arts Emmys—which took place Sept. 12 in Los Angeles at

the Microsoft Theater. She won  the Emmy for Best Reality

Host for her work on Hollywood Game Night. In other Lynch

newz,  she will be starring in a new series this Fall for CBS

 called "Angel From Hell."

In it, Lynch plays an angel named Amy, who acts as a

guardian for another woman, forming an unlikely friendship.

There won’t be a second season for “Mr. Robinson,” starring Chicago native CraigRobinson in a show closely based on his own life before he made it in show business. Though the sitcom did have decent ratings (which slipped after its pretty positive debut), it has been somewhat eclipsed by the network’s better-reviewed “The Carmichael Show” with Jerrod Carmichael, which NBC is renewing.
Robinson, who gained a national audience thanks to his years starring on “The Office,” had a tough time even getting “Mr. Robinson” on the air. Originally, the show was picked up by NBC as a pilot in 2013. A year later it was ordered to be turned into a full series with a new creative team — different from the people who created the pilot. The revamped project was completely recast with basically Robinson being the only main actor remaining.
“Mr. Robinson” was set in a Chicago school much like where Craig Robinson taught, back in the day. On the show, he played a teacher who also is a musician — similar to his real life.

Grammy Award winning songstress Chaka Khan was performing at Freedom Hill in Sterling Heights recently when her "Dancing With the Stars" partner surprised her on stage.
Khan knew Keo Motsepe would be her partner for the show, but she had never met him before.
The two dance the Cha Cha to "I Feel For You" by Chaka Khan on Dancing with the Stars' Season 21 premiere on September 14.

And if her dancing is any indication of her winning the dancing ball, she will be watching the winner from the audience. We love you Chaka but we werent "feelin" it. No shade.

This week we spotlight Chicago native actor/singer Ivan Ellis (aka Royale T from the TV show "Empire")  who will be releasing his debut single, "Nobody Else" Sept 28. He will  also have an official single and video premiere party in select cities. .

Why was the GOP debate more of attacking Donald Trump than talking about issues? Why was that 14 year old Middle Eastern student arrested for his invention of a clock inside of a briefcase (Couldnt a search of his briefcase have been enough??)? Why are folks shocked at what  Joy Behar of The View says when the show is all about saying controversial things?  Why wasnt a jailer from Pine Lawn in St Louis County refused ER attention after his medical emergency? Why did it take so long for the Miss America Pageant organization to apologize to Vanessa Williams?   And why did the organization want Williams to give an apology as well?
