OK, now to the BITZ...
The President of the U.S.A. Barack Obama had his final State of the Union Address this week but the person who made the highlight reel was his wife, The First Lady Michelle and what she wore. The dress worn by Michelle Obama to her husband's final State of the Union address has sold out within 20 minutes during the address. How fierce is that? The yellow Narciso Rodriguez number, which was stocked by US department store Neiman Marcus, was reportedly sold out shortly after Ms Obama was shown wearing it during the televised broadcast of her husband's hour-long address. The wool crepe dress retailed at over $2,000. That is beyond. And you know the knockoffs are being manufactured and boosted to get on the bandwagon (SEE WHO GOT STYLE BELOW).
And speaking of clothing going viral, the shirt worn by El
Chapo during Sean Penn's interview with the now drug
trafficker has been selling like Adele's 25 CD. We dont get it,
but then again, in the pop culture that we live in where
oddities become 15 minute superstars anything is sellable.
Did you win your $4 on this week's $1.6 billion Powerball?
LOL. One the the supposed winners of the Powerball from
Tennessee steeped forward and was on the Today Show,
but the thing is, there was no verification that they were the
winners and the winners said they left their ticket at home.
Hmm. We dont know about this, but if it turns out they were
some kooks who just wanted airtime, some producer's
heads from the Today Show will be chopped..
The Golden Globes was the talk this week as far as the awards ceremony. We were confused as far as the winners mainly because most of the winners were from shows that people either havent heard of or were on online networks like Amazon Prime. Some of the head scratching winners were Mr Robot for Best Drama (beating out Games of Thrones and Empire), Mozart in The Jungle for Comedy Series (over Orange is the New Black) , Wolf Hall for Limited Series or Movie Made for TV (over American Horror Story Hotel and and American Crime)...Some hand clapper winners include Taraji P Henson for Best Actress in a Drama for her iconic role as Cookie in Empire (whose passing cookies to various audience memebrs while walking to the stage to cop her award and reading the orchestra were classic) and Lady Gaga winning for Best Actress in a Limited Series or Made for TV Movie and of course, Denzel Washington winning the Cecil D Demille Award for his body of work. But the telecast was boring,Three hours too long. And host Ricky Jervais irreverance as a host wore thin as time progressed.
In the sports world, the St Louis Rams moving back to Los
Angeles was not surprising. This week the NFL decided to
vote for The Rams to move to Los Angeles, one of the three
teams vying for two of the spots (the other two are Oakland
Raiders and San Diego Chargers) to play in currently
redevloping the new L.A. Collisium until Rams owner Stan
Kroenke's Inglewood Stadium is built.
NFL also approved the Rams' plan for a stadium in Inglewood, which currently is estimated at $1.9 billion. The plan, which was announced by Rams owner Stan Kroenke a year ago, includes the option of housing a second team -- which right now would be the Chargers, should they decide to go. The stadium would be part of an entertainment, retail and residential complex.
But in St Louis, diehard Rams fans are causing a coup as far
as protesting the move (its reminiscent to Albert Pujols
exiting the Cardianls to play with the Angels )even to the
point of tossing the Rams memoriabilia onto Rams Park, the
training grounds where the team played and suing the Rams
about sports memorabilia and ticket buying promises.
.
Also, the city is now in the doldrums with a current stadium,
Edward Jones Dome without a team that has 10 years left
to pay on and the Board of Aldermen approved plan for a
new stadium on its Riverfront , a last moment move to entice
The Rams to stay. Well, now with The Rams gone and no
guarantee a new team will come to St Louis, whats the
purpose of having the stadium? It's a big mess. And if the
stadium starts construction, the STL will have two stadiums
that need to generate money that the city would be paying.
So our thing is, now that the city is scapegoating Kroenke
and hating on him for the move, the city also should take
blame as well escpecially with dropping the ball to redevelop
the Edward Jones Dome that was in its lease to compete
with other stadiums across the country. So its all about
business, and a businessman is all about money. To Rams
sport fans what about the city not giving the choice to vote on
whether to fund a new stadium and moving forward on with it
should be more of a complaint than anything.. we are just
saying.
Tom Joyner Morning Show personality J Anthony Brown
caused an off the air frenzy this week when a live feed of him
quitting the show hit the social media waves. From the
audio, it seemed as though it was a comedy bit and Joyner
and cohost Sybil Wilkes laughed it off but when it was
discovered that Brown was serious after he hung up the
feed, it was not so funny. Then, comedian Damon Wiilliams
was called to sub in for Brown for the rest of the show. Well
rumor mills started churning on why he quit from money
issues to a possible move to Steve
Harvey Show.
Sources revealed to website Urban Insite that the situation
stemmed from Brown receiving a 50% pay cut. The site
reasoned that the issue was “directly related” to Brown’s
attitude and disappearance from the long-running radio
show.

Reach Media and its director of communications, Kelly

a transcript of an off-air conversation that took place between
Brown, “TJMS” creator and co-host
Tom Joyner and their fellow co-host Sybil Wilkes.

Brown then replied that he was serious and ultimately walked

reach out to the comedian personally and professional
proved unsuccessful as he and Wilkes were surprised Brown
actually left the studio.

Brown took to Twitter following the show and announced he
would be doing a countdown show on Soundcloud and

Well, on Thursdays show, Joyner announced that Brown was
returning Monday on MLK day, so apparently Joyner and
Brown got the coins raised for him. Was this a planned
publicity stunt? Maybe. Is this just a temporary cure for the
wound? Who knows. Well bottom line is, it seemed to work in
Brown's favor. Maybe Brown called the show's bluff and that
and decided to stunt out. But with the rumors of Joyner's
wound? Who knows. Well bottom line is, it seemed to work in
Brown's favor. Maybe Brown called the show's bluff and that
and decided to stunt out. But with the rumors of Joyner's
show being cut from many markets or moved to AM radio
, those coins may start to run out on the syndicated show on
year's end.
Fans of the sitcom Black-ish have been wondering what
happened to Chicago native comedian Deon Cole on the
show who played Charlie Telphy, a zany co worker of
Anthony Anderson's character Dre. He has been M.I.A.

Anthony Anderson's character Dre. He has been M.I.A.
since T-giving episode and in his
place, comedian Wanda Sykes a new co worker. Well, he
was on Tom Joyner Morning Show this week when he was
asked about his absence. Well, he is now starring in the
spoof police show Angie Trebeca and his role on Black-ish is
still up in the air as far as returning. But when we had gone
on Internet Movie Database and saw his credits, it had
Black-ish 2013 to 2015, so it looks like his stint on the show
may be over. Meanwhile, during the interview, Cole said that
the role was orginally supposed to go to another actor
(whom he didnt disclose), but that actor
(whom he didnt disclose), but that actor
did not show up so Cole, who was an assistant writer on the
show filled in for the role--and the rest is TV history. When
asked if he will return, he
asked if he will return, he
was very vague and just said, "Just tune in to see." Well, we
hate to say it, but Black-ish may lose a few viewers because
Cole was the Jackee-227 of the series, the scene stealer
(along with Marsai Martin who plays Dre's daughter Diane).
Sykes is OK as the replacement in the show, but the
chemistry in the workroom is a bit off. And on a side note,
Cole is quite buffed and is flying under the radar as far
as being eye candy for admirers.
Bekow is a pic of Cole shirtless

Have you all been checking out Brandy's new sitcom on
BET, Zoey Ever After?....we arent feeling it of her playing a
business woman and divorcee' and that canned laugh track
has got to go. Its been getting the ratings for the

network but it could be a curiosity factor going on to see
Brandy in the series. The show is cute but not HAHA funny.
Now a spinoff of her character Chardonay from "The Game"
would have been a better vehicle for her. We're just sayin.

Well, they have announced their promo tour on their FB page. One coming Feb 11 in Evanston, Ill. at The Space. To see their tour schedule go to https://www.facebook.com/weareKING/?fref=ts.
This Saturday, former Fox 2 News personality and Internet sensation April Simpson will be bidding farewell to St Louis with a party that will also double as a fundraiser for her charity for those who have brain tumors. Scheduled to appear are comedian and St Louis native Guy Torry and Olympic champion and East St Louis native Jackie Joyner Kersee. The event will take place Saturday Jan 16 at Upper Crust.
R.I.P. to singer/actor David Bowie who passed this week from cancer at the age of 69. He was definitely a pioneer in glam rock with his chameleon characters including Ziggy Stardust and The White Duke. He released his last album Blackstar a few days before he died. We also lost former St Louis Rams player Laurence Phillips who committed suicide in prison at the age of 40.
FIT BITZ
This week we feature Lon Angeles based bodybuilder and trainer Tamora Tee Whitfield. here, she is giving serious sexy with her phenomenal muscles in this pic. Its rare that you find a female who can still look feminine with bulging biceps, but she was able to pull it off.
WORD TO THE WHYZ????
GOLDEN GLOBES Why did Quentin Tarantino say being a band leader is ghetto as compared to being an orchestra leader? Why did it seem Denzel looked bored being there when the camera panned to him throughout the evening? Why did Leonardo DiCaprio look sideyed at Lady Gaga when she walked pass him to receive her awards? Why were there so many people cussing on stage? Why did Channing Tatum wear his hair swiped to one side? And why does the award show separate teh movie stars from the TV Stars?
OTHER WHYZ Why did it seem people were hesitant to stand up and clap during most of POTUS' State of the Union Speech? And why was Speaker of the House Paul Ryan mean mugging behind Obama? Why are St Louis Rams fans blaming Rams owner Stan Kroenke for all the reasons for the move of the Rams? Why did that Cobsy accuser who's case was thrown out record a rap song about Cosby? And why do Instagram models think they are professional models/
