OUT 258--SPECIAL WHO GOT STYLE--OUTSTAGNs PICKS from 10th ANNUAL BLACK AND WHITE BALL HOSTED BY NELLY

Nelly brought STL's finest to one of St Louis most anticipated galas, The Black and White ball that had taken place last Sunday (April 10) at The Four Seasons in downtown St Louis. Not only was the event for a great cause (this year was Make a Wish Foundation), but people dressed in their finest to celebrate St Louis; biggest fashion night.

There were two common fashion themes that were worn by the ladies on the red carpet---black lingerie see through dresses and two piece dresses with long flowing skirts. The rest mainly wore party style dresses. The guys kept it simple with black tuxes and suits with not much variations (with the exception of YOURE TRULY).

Below are some of the FASHION HITS from the ladies

This young lady's dress was THE DRESS of the evening, shimmering black mermaid style dress with flowing train. Her hair was swept in a ball and she looked extremely beautiful. This is how a red carpet look is supposed to look like!

STL TV's Gina Cheatham brought the old school glamour with fur jacket with white tank halter and black gown and silver clutch.
This lady's black gown with see through striped mid section enhanced by brown necklace and black and gold clutch was simple yet elegant.

We didnt get a good shot of Melanee Stith;s dress due to her husband Andre getting interviewed but  trust us her fitted beige gown  and peakaboo
cleavage was to die for!
Although this look was quite popular on the red carpet, this young lady changed it up with that beautiful pink bow belt she added to it.
Chanal Haynes looked like a princess with this very intricate near backless white top  and flowing dress and train. And her  long locs added to the look
Ira Dewitt looked ravishing in this flowing black ans white striped gown with black belt topped off with white long earrings and swept back hair,
Ola did not disappoint with one of her trademark Ola Style creations if a see through gown over a above the  knee dress. And her hair and makeup was on point.

Ashley Donahue looked quite regal in her black gown with slit and the silver jewelry to top off her look.

HONORABLE MENTION

We just had to mention Lisa West who got the courage award for wearing a flowing see through white dress and showing her white undergarments.  She was able to pull off the look without it looking thotty. We teased her all nite saying, "Lisa West with the dress!"

BEST DRESSED GENTS

Shawty Da Prince looked dapper in this tux with beadings. It was a very unique look that stood out from all the basic black tuxes worn that nite.

Nelly always brings it when it comes to style at these events. Here he is wearing an accustom made suit jacket with floral embroidery. And his trademark shades added to his hip hop chic.

This gent's suit was tailored to a T and his choice and pulling up the flaps of his suit collar added a different edginess to his look.
Young Ro tunred heads with this black suit that looked dark gray in the light. He also cut off his  trademark long longs sporting a more mature haircut and goatee.
Hakim Griffin came to St Louis to rep the Mr Couture brand and he succeeded with this white suit jakcet with black  trimmings,  black bowtie with white polka dots and pimped out black hat cocked to the side
Peetey Weestro brought on the clean with this white suit with black shirt and white bowtie with black trimmings. The jacket could have been a bit more tailored but he was able to pull off the dapper look.

BEST DRESSED COUPLES

Jamila and Cornell Boone always makes a statement when they appear to red carpet events.  Her black asymmetrical dress and his traditional white tux jacket complimented one another otherwise if by themselves their outfits would have been not as memorable.

Jim and Meghan Edmonds. Same as The Boones, they complimented each other with their choices of attire. Both looked great in their coupling.

This couple looked sharp and seemed as though they took their time to get their look
red carpet ready.

This couple , former NFL player Derek Stanley and wife looked dapper as well and you can tell that they made an effort to match black and white  on their attire to compliment each others outfit.
The fashionista couple, Ali Jones (Kenyatta) and Ashley Nichol-Jones  returned this year not disappointing when it comes to fashion couples in the STL. His bold choice of a checkered shirt was a standout and her choice of a simple well designed black gown was a simmering stunner. Her swept back hair was also quite lovely.

AND WE CANT DO THIS REVIEW WITHOUT A FEW MISSES:

This young lady's uh....dress was not flattering at all....it looked like Victoria Secret
lingerie that should have not been worn on red carpet,.

This young lady's dress for starters was too short and the gold trimmings on it made it look like sofa material.

St Louis producer Jay E.  He could have at least funked it up with a shirt and bowtie (like what T-Pain wore), but the tee with black jacket with gold chain was not the business. He looked like a bus boy than b-boy . The best thing he wore was the Chuck Taylors and the shades.

Well that's our choices......if you agree or disagree, comment below!
