A Muslim funeral for Muhammad Ali on Thursday drew thousands of admirers to the boxer's hometown of Louisville, Kentucky, where mourners prayed over the body which lay in a casket covered with a black and gold cloth. .
An estimated reported 16,000 people, representing many races and creeds, attended the jenazah, or "funeral" in Arabic, where he was repeatedly feted as "the people's champion."
Ali died on Friday of septic shock in an Arizona hospital. He was 74.
Ali and his family planned his funeral for 10 years, making sure it would honor his Muslim faith.
U.S. President Barack Obama also praised Ali on Thursday in a Facebook live broadcast from the White House, showing off a copy of the book, "GOAT: A Tribute to Muhammad Ali," and a signed pair of boxing gloves gifted to him by Ali.
"It's very rare where a figure captures the imagination of the entire world," Obama said. "He was one of a kind and in my book he'll always be the greatest."
Ali is due to be buried on Friday, after a funeral procession going to various spots in Ali's childhood (his childhood home, his schools, his first boxing training center) and before one final goodbye when thousands more will gather for an interfaith service.
Luminaries including former U.S. President Bill Clinton, Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan and comedian Billy Crystal will attend Friday's event, at the KFC Yum Center.

The Cleveland Cavaliers’ 30-point victory on their home turf at Arena Stadium over the Golden State Warriors Wednesday brought ABC its second- best NBA Finals Game 3 results since the network started covering in 2003. The game logged 16.5 million viewers .
The Warriors lead the Cavs 2-1 in the series heading to Game 4 on Friday.
Game 4 of the 2016 NBA Finals is tonight at Quicken Loans Arena as the Cavaliers try to tie the series at 2-2 against the Golden State Warriors.
It won't be cheap to get into Game 4, and in nearly all cases it will cost more than it did to get into Game 3.

This past weekend, newly crowned Miss USA and Washington D.C native Deshauna Barber became an overnight sensation due in large part to a single answer she delivered during the competition.
When asked during the pageant whether integrating women into combat roles “put political correctness over our military’s ability to perform,” the 26-year-old Army reservist said, “We are just as tough as men. As a commander of my unit, I’m powerful, I am dedicated and it is important that we recognize that gender does not limit us in the United States.” The comment drew rapturous applause, boosted her to victory and won her fans across the country. With her unconventional background and non-traditional looks, Barber inspired response from women of color, particularly darker-hued African-Americans, that surprised even her.
Barber says that she is glad that she has been able to inspire other women of color, some of whom have informed her they plan to get into the pageant business themselves now because of her, and she hopes that her success will lift the spirits of all women who feel marginalized.

Bobby Brown sat down with ABC’s Robin Roberts for an exclusive discussion on “20/20.” The emotionally charged chat marked his first in-depth interview since the death of his daughter Bobbi Kristina Brown last year.
During the episode, the “Every Little Step” singer gave fans a glimpse into his tumultuous, drug-fueled relationship with Whitney Houston, the days leading up to Bobbi Kristina’s death and more. He made confessions that shocked viewers and Roberts alike. Brown, 47, recounted tales of cocaine binges, domestic abuse and his and Houston’s shortcomings as parents.

Bobby Bought a Georgia Mansion He Believes Was Haunted — And Had Sex With a Ghost:
While the emotional interview was largely meant to discuss Brown’s marriage, drug abuse and his daughter’s unexpected passing, he was able to touch on other subjects as well. During the discussion, the performer opened up to Roberts about a mansion he purchased in Georgia some time ago. He claimed the pricey pad was haunted, telling “20/20” viewers he learned that the hard way.
This interview was definitely haunting to say the least. We wonder what Roberts was thinking while he was talking about having coitus with a goblin. We would have said "So you busted one with a ghost or did you call ghostbusters." LOL
Well, not everyone is happy with the Bobby Brown interview, especially his former mother in law, Cissy Houston. Houston issued a statement to People on Wednesday, the day after Brown's interview with Robin Roberts aired on ABC, saying the special appeared to fixate on her daughter instead of his life.
"Last night I saw Bobby Brown's interview with Robin Roberts," she began. "It was disturbing."
Houston, also wondered why Brown never spoke about his family in the interview. She thought it suspect that his comments focused so much on Whitney.
"I can't help but wonder why," she said, also alluding to remarks Brown made about his late daughter, Bobbi Kristina. Bobby Brown expresses regrets about Whitney, Bobbi Kristina on '20/20'
"Whether I would have chosen Bobby for my daughter's husband is not important because the choice was not mine to make," she continued. "She loved him and I believe him when he says he loved her. I only wish he had loved and respected her enough to make some of the negative statements about her and Krissi while Whitney was alive and able to respond from her perspective."
During the interview, Brown, told Roberts that the first time he saw Whitney do cocaine was on their wedding day. Cissy Houston called the statement untrue, using Whitney's nickname, Nippy, when talking about her memory of the day.
"There is no value in my challenging all of his statements – point for point – such as his assertion that he 'had money' when he married Whitney or that anyone in my family said he started Nippy on drugs," Houston said. "No one blames Bobby for that. However, I must say that his story of seeing her do drugs for the first time on their wedding day is untrue (Donna Houston, Robyn Crawford and I were with Nippy the whole time before the ceremony), and more importantly, it forever casts a shadow over one of the most important days of her life."
Meanwhile Brown tells Us Weekly that Houston allegedly had an affair with rapper Tupac Shakur and that they were both unfaithful to one another during the marriage. He also says Whitney was bisexual.
A rumored romantic relationship between Whitney and longtime friend and assistant Robyn Crawford — who she met while they were both young and working at a community center in East Orange — was a reality, he says. Though Houston herself had denied the claim, Brown contends that's because Cissy Houston would disapprove — she had said in an interview with Oprah Winfrey that she would not condone such a relationship — and that is why Whitney kept the relationship under wraps.
"I really feel that if Robyn was accepted into Whitney's life, Whitney would still be alive today," Brown told the magazine. "She didn't have close friends with her anymore."

BET announced Tuesday that Sheila E., The Roots, D'Angelo and Janelle Monáe will pay tribute to the late icon Prince with performances at the 2016 BET Awards on June 26.
The news came on what would have been the legend's 58th birthday, and people around the world celebrated his legacy, from the governor of his home state, Minnesota, declaring June 7 "Prince Day" to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum in Cleveland throwing a "Let's Go Crazy"-themed dance party.

Professional mixed martial artist Kimbo Slice died of a heart attack Monday at age 42. It was reported that he was seeking a heart transplant at the time. Slice, birth name Kevin Ferguson, from Nassau, bahamas, was a former backyard brawler and internet sensation.
Loosecannon and DTLR recently presented the 5th Annual Loosecannon Celebrity Game. Held at the Chaifetz Arena last Sunday in St. Louis, the event featured a face-off between Loosecannon’s squad and Floyd Mayweather’s TMT (PIC courtesy of Chaifetz Arena).
The event opened with Jacquees singing the national anthem and performances by Migos and LA4SS at halftime. Other celebrities in attendance included Lil Durk, Adrien Bronner, and Stevie J to name a few.

According to stltoday.com, the rolling, clothing-optional party known as the World Naked Bike Ride in St. Louis will take place this year on July 16, organizers said Thursday.
“The World Naked Bike Ride is a celebration of the human spirit. We’re celebrating our bodies, our bikes and our city while sharing a common goal — having immeasurable amounts of fun,” ride organizer and Spoked Bikes & Stuff owner/founder Matt Hartman, said in a press release.
Despite the name, many riders typically opt to do their pedaling somewhat under cover.
Last year, organizers said, media outlets estimated that 3,000 pedaled through the streets as part of the ride, which would make it the third largest World Naked Bike Ride of the 70 participating cities worldwide.
This year's fest will have live music, street vendors and contests in categories such as best themed costumes and body paint.
