OUT 177--OUTSTAGNs BEST DRESSED LISTS FROM 9th ANNUAL BLACK AND WHITE BALL

This year's Black and White Ball always brings out the movers and shakers in city of St Louis as well as some nationally known celebs in the mix. It is also an opportunity for people to show off their fashion styles.

Below are some of our choices of Best Dressed.

THE TOP COUPLE LOOKS:

9. Jasmine Huda and her guest caught our eye with her knee length party dress and V-neck top with strap (and her unique silver bag was an eye catcher). His traditional tux complimented with her understated but sexy look.

8.This couple complimented each other with her two piece dress with very understated accessories and his classic shiny tux.

7.SuperEgo Mitchell and his wife were the most uniquely dressed couple as they wore almost similar cut tuxes in opposite black-white color coordination,

6.Thurlester Robinson and his significant other Shane Williamson are one of the mainstays of the annual ball with their choices of attire. This year is no different. He was decked out in a gray checkered suit jacket, black bowtie and winter white slacks and she wore a sleek one shoulder strap black gown trimmed with silver beading.

5.This couple complimented one another as she wore a black sheer gown with silver beaded stop under a party skirt and his classic suit was donned with a shiny silver  tie.

4.Andre Stith and his wife gave us a regal royalty with her flowing , long train black and brown mix gown  and his traditional black tux.

3. This couple gets the "The Best Worn White  Award" with her beautiful white dress with high neckline and leg slit with THAT BRACELET and black bag trimmed in white.  Her long, curly hair also was on point.  He complimented her  wearing a white shirt with white satin tie.

2.Ashley Nicole and Ali Jones.

This couple always dress the part each time they walk down
the red carpet. With STL rock star couples Seviin Li and Murphy Lee and Kyjuan and Asia being no shows this year, The co-stars of "Nellyville" had a chance to really stand out. She wore a two piece with black halter top and a flowing white on black striped skirt. Her long curly tresses also complimented her dress and her metallic jewelry was the perfect touch,   He wore an understated black and white striped bowtie with his classic tux that complimented the colors of her skirt.

AND THE TOP COUPLE WAS

                                      Nelly and Shantel Jackson.

The Man of the Hour outdone himself this year with this ensem. He wore that tailored (and we are sure hand crafted) leather tux jacket with custom made prints on it.  He also rocked the sunglasses with the light brown tint giving serious rock star shine, And, Miss Jackson wore a lovely black  mermaid cut gown that showcased her hourglass figure with a sheer on the shoulders with a silver bag, And she was the only one of a few who wore her hair swept back in a ball which is the standard look for females to wear their hair at a red carpet black tie affair.

THE TOP DRESSED GENTS:

9.Dwight Carter. Although he didnt wear a tux jacket, it would have covered this
unique shiny gray vest with black bordering.

8.Leland Lambert. This former Mr Couture wore a tailored black tux jacket with white shirt, black tie with white stripes and winter white slacks.
7. Vincent Dery of "Nico and Vinz" Although he didnt wear a tie with his all black suit, he was able to pull it off with the tailoring of his look complimenting his dark complexion.

6.Nikko Smith. He was one of few who wore an all white suit (and shoes to match), but he changed it up with a black shirt and gray tie. Hmm, but where was his trademark derby?
5.Thurlester Robinson. Always one to sport a different spin to the suit at these events, he was a standout wearing a black dotted gray suit jacket, black bowtie and winter white slacks.

4.Nick Cannon. There were many classic tuxes worn that night, but the  America's Got Talent host was quite an eye-turner with this tailored look on his tall frame. And his hair hawk complimented his look.

3.Superego Mitchell. He gave vintage tux with the white smoker jacket with black trimming, white shirt, black bowtie and pocket square, black tux pants with black stripes on side. And his shades helped compliment his dapper look.

2.Tee White. He was very stylish in his suit changing it up color style with the mutlicolored bowtie, tailored gray suit jacket with red pocket square and classic vest and slacks. Very clean cut look.

AND THE TOP GENT LOOK WAS

                                             NELLY
Each year he gives a taste of surprise at these balls. This year he outdone himself  with this ensem. He wore that tailored hand crafted leather tux jacket with custom made prints on it.  He also rocked the sunglasses with the light brown tint giving serious rock star shine.

THE TOP DRESSED LADIES

15.This lady's knee-length silver sparkled gown was an eye catcher on the red carpet.

14.This lady also wore a knee length sparkly black gown with specks of silver and shredded ends.

13.Mousie Haley. She has slowly become one of the fashionistas at the annual ball and this year she didnt disappoint with this flowing bra strapped black gown  with understated jewelry and loced hair in a bun.

12.Sydney (in black) and Chantal (in white). These young ladies from the "Nellyville" reality show wore prom-style poodle shape dresses that were quite stunning (and their matching silver pumps) and their long tresses were also on point. Of the two, Chantal's dress was more eye catching.

11.Rita Renee. Her dazzling showpiece necklace  with matching bracelet were an eye catcher that complimented her basic black gown.
10.Melanie Renee. She wore a regal styled gown that was unique in patterning with a long train that glided down the red carpet.

9.Tammie Holland. Another fashionista of these balls, she wore a halter shouldered tailored dress with leather arm length gloves and held a standout pouchy purse with gold trimming. Very sleek look.

8.Shane Williamson. She has become known for wearing lovely gowns and there were a few ladies who wore the black, silver topped gown with  revealing  back mid section and slit but she managed to make it classy and sexy.
7.This young lady wore a beautiful flowing winter white gown with large bracelet and long white earrings was quite stunning. That black leather bag with white trimming was a bit clashy but it didnt effect her overall look.

6.Ola. This fashionista who is always red carpet ready looked lovely in this Ola Style couture black gown with leather strips with strips of pink and yellow . That feather black bag was also  eye catching.

5.Shantal Jackson. Nelly's lady looked stunning in this mermaid cut down with sheered shoulders and silver bag. Her swept do with ball to the side complimented her outfit.

4.Ashley Nicole. This Nellyville co-star wore a two piece with black halter top and a flowing white on black striped skirt. Her long curly tresses also complimented her dress and her metallic jewelry was the perfect touch.
3.This young lady was a knockout with this sleek black gown with parts of the back cut out with black pocket square bag with silver jewelry and her swept back ball alone was eye catching.
2.Aloha Misho. She is another fashionista that gives rock star chic. From head to toe, she wore an ensem that was sexy and daring with the lace off white top with see through black bra, a multisheer flowing skirt and the velvet jacket that she wore over her shoulder. And that swept up ball on her head was everything!

AND THE TOP DRESSED FEMALE WAS

This lady wore this black mermaid style gown with shoulderless top and the bottom half made of sheer multi hoops with white trimmings was WOWING. With a small black clutch and white bracelet, she looked classy and fashion forward. Her straight hair also complimented her look.

Below is the back of the gown:

FOR GOOD MEASURE, BELOW ARE SOME OF THE OH-NO'S OF THE NIGHT. THERE WERE MANY MANY MANY TO CHOOSE FROM BUT THESE LOOKS BELOW ARE THOSE THAT STOOD OUT.

This couple did not compliment one another with what they wore. What they wore was not bad but it wasnt the right attire for a black tie event. Optional? Not here.

As far as gents, this guy wore an off brown ensem that was the wrong attire for a black tie event. At least the lady next to him looked as though she was going to an evening event.

There were some ladies who had ON NO ATTIRE

This gown had too much going on with a long black stripe on white with a black ruffle in the back.

This lady wore an unflattering white party dress with black lined print and black stockings. OH NO!

This young lady wore a see through gown that looked more like lingerie that was more for the club rather than an after five event. Interestingly enough her guest wore a very conservative suit vest and slacks.

AND

These ladies ensems were...well....at least they were in black. The one on the left's velvet dress with straps and a wrapped fur was not flattering and the lady on the right's gown was ill-fitted and the blue eye shadow and swept to the side curly brown tresses did not compliment at all.

Well, thats our lists. If you agree or disagree with our choices feel free to leave a comment in the comment boxes below.

SEE YOU ALL AT THE 10th ANNUAL BALL in 2015!

  1. You nailed it on the best dress couple for the evening, however I think that Nelly and Nick Cannon were a tie for bet dress men. Your pick for best dress female was quite surprising. The young lady's dress looked like something from the Jetsons or a circus. Aloha and Nikko Smith both disappointed me. Ms. Aloha either you take the jacket completely off or you keep it on. Keeping the jacket on your shoulders mad you look like a coat rack. Nikko Smith you looked like Frosty the Snowman in his wedding attire. I was really surprised that I didn't see any head turners besides Tammy Holland, Blu Bolden, Ashley Nichole and Shantal Jackson, and Nelly's niece and daughter were adorable. There wasn't much to chose from to compile a best dress list but you had enough misses to compile a worst dress list. Like 3 pages full.
