The U.S. first lady Michelle Obama made an appearance at “The Late Show” hosted by Stephen Colbert Monday.
The first lady shared a lot of exciting things with the audience. With about a year more at the White House for the U.S. President Barack Obama, Michelle wanted to indulge in something that she has not done in years. She wanted to drive with the windows rolled down and shop at Target.
“I also want to do little things like, you know, open a window. I want to go to Target! I want to drive!” she joked, much to the amusement of Colbert. Michelle recounted how one day as a treat, her lead agent let her have her windows rolled down on the way to Camp David.
She added that it was only for five minutes, but she enjoyed the fresh air. She admitted that they are not allowed to open their windows at the White House, due to security reasons.
She said that after her days at Washington DC are over, she will continue with her bucket list, her global girls’ education initiatives “Let Girls Learn”. Michelle avoided any controversial topics for discussion which included politics. Colbert brought up the matter that Laura Bush had left her a letter, when she came into White House. Asked if she would do the same if in case there was a female president next, Michelle said “yes.”
During the Chinese State Dinner, she stunned in an off-the-shoulder black custom Vera Wang gown. She was lauded for her style in the floor grazing confection that featured sheer sleeves and a tulle skirt, with a low-cut back and a deep-V detail on the neckline.
We wish she announced that she was running for President in 2016--for real!

Washington (CNN)Kanye West will be performing at a Democratic National Committee fundraiser Oct. 10 in San Francisco, California, and President Barack Obama is expected to be in the audience.
Obama is also scheduled to speak at the fundraiser, according to the event's website.
According to an NBC Bay Area report, West is expected to perform music from his new album "Swish," which includes the single "All Day." However, it is unclear if West will debut new music from "Swish" at the afternoon concert. West representatives did not respond to requests for comment.
West recently stood by his own plans to run for president in 2020 in a Vanity Fair interview published last week, saying that a presidential bid is still possible.
When asked about West's potential plans for run for president by "Extra" host Mario Lopez, Hilary Clinton said, "Well, if I'm going for my second term, (I would ask him) to wait four years, but if I'm not ... be sure he has comfortable shoes because there's a lot of walking involved."
West also turned some heads when he called Republican presidential candidate Dr. Ben Carson a "brilliant guy."
"As soon as I heard Carson speak, I tried for three weeks to get on the phone with him. I was like this is the most brilliant guy. And I think all the people running right now have something that each of the others needs," West told Vanity Fair.
He added that "this gladiator battle takes away from the main focus that the world needs help and the world needs all the people in a position of power or influence to come together."
Carson told reporters in a New Hampshire press conference on Wednesday that he did eventually speak with West by phone, saying West "just wanted to talk."
It was also reported that the Dems at the event dont want Ye to speak out in any fashion--Good luck with that. LOL

Empire‘s incredible run of 13 consecutive episodes of ratings growth ended last night with the second episode from Season 2 (Title, "Without a Country" and pictured Chicgaon Terrence Howard and Champaign, Illinois native rapper/actor Ludacris) posting a 5.4 adults 18-49 rating in the fast nationals (13.7 million viewers) and 5.5 in the finals, down a modest 12% from the fast nationals last Wednesday (-18% from the finals). This was down from last week's 16 million viewers and 6.5 rating, but it still made Empire easily the most watching show of the night on network TV.
Last week’s season opener was even with the two-hour Season 1 finale in Live+Same Day and inched up in Live+3 (3 as in three days after live viewing from DVR viewing). The family soap won’t be able to bridge the gap in DVR viewing this time but its impressive streak will be hard to match in a universe whereTV ratings erode every day.
And, even with the slip, Empire remains the highest-rated entertainment program on broadcast TV, with the 18-49 rating projected by Fox to go up to a 7.2 in L+3. Just how dominant Empire is? No other program was able to even crack the 3 demo rating last night, with the Fox drama almost doubling the delivery of the No. 2 show, ABC’s Modern Family (2.9 in fast nationals, 3.0 in finals).
Taylor Swift's two-night sold out concerts at the Scott Trade Center in St Louis had a surprise when STL rap mogul Nelly, who has called St. Louis home, walked onstage on Tuesday night to perform "Hot in Herre." Along with Haim , who have opened on Swift’s 1989 tour since the summer, the rapper, and Swift also performed Nelly’s new single, “The Fix.”
And in true Swift fashion, the superstar shared two videos and a photo from their “Hot in Herre” collab on Instagram.
Nelly also shared a video of the two of them performing his new single. “STL CRAY tonight my sister @taylorswift and myself killed #THEFIX…!!!!”
Swift sang the hook on his song.
And what was up with them ":jorts" (jean shorts) he was wearing? LOL
In unrelated Nelly newz, he’s currently “writing and recording” a new set of songs that will hopefully be his next album, and his first since splitting from Republic Records last year. (2013’s M.O. was his last album with the label.) Since then, he signed with former Island Def Jam CEO Barry Weiss and SONGS president Ron Perry’s new label, RECORDS.
Nelly says there’s no specific timeline just yet, but adds, “It may come around the top of next year sometime as we get ready to do more music and plan a tour around [that time] as well.”
Until then he’s working on what he calls “re-inserting Nelly back into the music scene.” He says, “Where I want to be is right where my fans want me. Hopefully, back on your TV screens, on your radio, and back in front of you live in concert. So far so good.”
R. Kelly's 13th CD Buffet has been pushed from September 25 to November 20. One of the reasons for he push could probably be due from the number of songs he's produced “I’ve done 462 songs for this particular album,” he says. “They’re not ideas, they are whole full songs. I wanted to be sure that I really nailed it to the point that when I started breaking it down to the 14, 15, 16 songs that go on the album that I had more than enough to choose from, and they would all be great choices.”
On what type of songs that will be released he said “I wanted to cover a lot of different genres, and in order to do that you have to do a lot of work,” he says. “So there are about seven or eight country songs that I chose from in that category, and broke it down to one song out of those eight. So there is one country song on the album. I’m not doing all these different genres of songs just to do them. This is all the different types of music I loved growing up. For example, I’ve always said I’d love to do a blues song. I love blues. My grandfather did blues. I always loved country because country music tells stories, and I love telling stories as well. These styles of music really hit home for me, and that’s why I’m doing thisBuffet album.”
The first single, "Backyard Party": was released last month and is currently #11 on the Adult R&B Billboard charts.

St Louis Cardinalshave been the class of the National League over the last decade and a half, and on Wednesday night beat the Pittsburgh Pirates 11-1 in the second game of a doubleheader at PNC Park to clinch the National League Central division for a third straight season.
The win by the Cardinals gave them 100 wins and assured they would finish with the best record in baseball. St. Louis will host the winner of the Pirates/Cubs NL Wild Card Game in the National League Division Series, a best-of-five tilt that will open on Friday, Oct. 9 at Busch Stadium in St. Louis.
To clinch the division, St. Louis won two of three games on the road in Pittsburgh against the Pirates (96-63), owners of the second-best record in baseball.
The Cardinals (100-59) are the first 100-win team in MLB since the 2011 Phillies. This is the ninth 100-win season in Cardinals franchise history, and the first since 2005.
Former KMOV TV anchor Jasmine Huda has quit her position Wednesday.
In a statement, Huda would say only, “I have decided it is time to leave KMOV.”
Huda was reportedly considered the odds-on favorite to replace Sharon Reed as main co-anchor with Steve Savard on Sept. 5.
Earlier that week, station bosses reportedly told Huda she would not be Reed’s permanent replacement at 6 p.m. and 10 p.m., a station’s two most important newscasts.
Huda reportedly returned to work on Sept. 14, but quit appearing on newscasts that week.
KSDK TV anchor Kelly Jackson will be adding another gig to her already long list of gigs.Jackson, who is the weekend anchor on KSDK (Channel 5) and morning-drive radio host at KTRS, is helming "How My Pet Lives," a show about quirky pets.
The show is a cross between Christopher Guest's mockumentary "Best In Show" and Anthony Bourdain's "Parts Unknown" food show from reports..
The idea for the show reportedly came from her third job of operatingMy BFF Network, a dog-walking/companion business she started in 2012.
Jackson said shooting is just starting and the first episode is set to air Oct. 31. The shows will be on YouTube, at Royal Canin and at howmypetlives.com.

Why did that shooter target Christians to shoot at that Oregon college? Why did House Speaker John Boener wait until now to quit his post? Why did Matt Damon say that gay people should not reveal their sexuality in Hollywood? Why did Kim Fields join the cast of Real Housewives of Atlanta? Why is CBS doing a black TV version of the movie "Uncle Buck?" Why do TV shows on cable only have no more than 13 episodes? Why did Don Henley say Frank Ocean had no talent? Why was there so much hype over the grand opening of the IKEA store in St Louis? And why do IKEA furniture stores sell prepared food?
