THE TOP ILLI MO STORIES THIS WEEK ARE:

ADD:The Kansas City Royals won the World Series  Sunday night at Citi Field in New York, with a  7-2 victory in 12 innings over the Mets  The victory, their fourth in five games, gave them their first championship since 1985.

Meanwhile, Kansas City Royals shortstop and leadoff hitter  Alcides Escobar was named the MVP of the American League Championship Series on Friday.
On top of his usual defensive contributions, he  set a postseason record by getting a leadoff hit in the first four games of a series. He went 11-for-23 in the ALCS, which the Royals clinched after a Game 6 win over the Toronto Blue Jays.

The cable network "Destination America" will air the first live televised exorcism on Friday night. They are performing the religious rite at the same home in St Louis, Mo. that inspired the 1972 movie "The Exorcist."
In 1949, an exorcism was performed by a St. Louis University Jesuit Priest on 14-year-old Roland Doe. His goal was to rid him of demonic possession. Some claim a spiritual entity remains in that house to this day.
The Catholic Archdiocese of St. Louis has released this statement about the “Live” Exorcism in St. Louis:
The cable network “Destination America” reportedly plans to air a purported exorcism live on national television on Friday, October 30, from a home in St. Louis which was associated with the well-known exorcism of “Roland Doe” in 1949.
Given the public nature of this event, the Archdiocese of St. Louis – which is not involved in this dangerous endeavor – deems it necessary to educate and warn the public about the dangers of participating in such activities.
“No exorcism can take place without the authority of the local Roman Catholic ordinary,” said auxiliary bishop emeritus Robert Hermann.
Most Reverend Robert J. Carlson, Archbishop of St. Louis, has not granted the necessary permissions – known as “faculties” – to any priests or bishops for the purpose of this televised event. Anyone involved in this production who claims to be a member of the Catholic clergy is not affiliated with the Archdiocese of St. Louis nor are they operating under the authority of the Vatican.
Any purported exorcism by spiritualists, paranormal investigators, mediums, or non-Catholic clerics for the purposes of entertainment trivializes this ancient rite of the Roman Catholic Church and the very real danger of evil.
“Any attempt to use the solemn Rite of Exorcism as entertainment exposes all participators to the danger of future hidden satanic attack,” said Bishop Hermann. “We cannot play games with Satan and expect to win.

We wonder if Ray Parker Jr's song "Ghostbusters" will be playing during this episode. LOL. But seriously, casting out demonic spirits should be as normal as trying to get the Holy Ghost, I mean isnt that a spirit as well? We just sayin.

According to reports,  close to 12,000 fans attended Stevie Wonder's  historic and final leg of his  “Songs in the Key of Life Performance” tour last Sunday Oct 25 at Scott Trade Center, And one of the surprises in the show was when STL reared rap mogul  Nelly performed with Wonder on his tune “Hot in Herre” . This is Nelly's second time performing at the venue and the same song when Taylor  Swift was in town last month.

According to an article on stltoday, com, close to 1,500 Rams fans  reportedly attended the Rams relocation hearings Tuesday evening at the Peabody Opera House.
From reports, the event reportedly began with a standing ovation and chants of “Let’s go Rams!” when NFL executive Eric  Grubman (PICTURED)and other league officials were introduced.
When stadium planners Dave Peacock and Bob Blitz were reportedly introduced, there were shouts of “Peacock! Peacock!” and “Buy the team!”
“Thanks for coming out,” Peacock told the crowd in brief opening remarks. “A prime-time game in this cold mess would be a lot of fun.”
Then Rams executive  Kevin Demoff was introduced with boos.
“I figured it would be like that,” said Demoff, who also welcomed the crowd.
But then it was time for the fans and the season-ticket holders to be heard. Many were reporedly emotional, some fought back tears. Their love of the Rams and dislike of owner Stan Kroenke came through loud and clear.
There were reportedly  two podiums set up in the Opera House, one on each side of the venue.
Many  reportedly mainly talked  on the relocation guidelines, stating that Kroenke didn’t meet the provisions, didn’t engage the fans or media and hadn’t engaged in good-faith negotiations to build a new stadium in St. Louis as required by the relocation guidelines.
Grubman also reportedly  said that negotiations could take many forms and that the Rams and Kroenke “have not prevented or discouraged a single meeting or discussion” between the league and representatives of the St. Louis stadium task force. He also noted that Rams executive vice president Kevin Demoff had been a regular in league meetings with the task force.
“I don’t know how this ends,” Grubman added. “If after this (process) ends and the owners have a very, very tough decision, then we’ve done our job.”
Also in attendance was local sports radio personality Randy Karraker, one of the night’s first speakers, who reportedly came with photos of the 31 other NFL owners engaged in community activities in their respective markets, and said he couldn’t find one of Kroenke.
Grubman, obviously in a tough spot answering some tough questions, did say at one point: “My assessment based on what I have seen and heard tonight is St. Louis loves its Rams.”
Hearings were also scheduled for San Diego this past Wednesday and Oakland this past Thursday.

We think the hearings is just a way to get the public to speak out on their grievances but in the end they will do what they will do in order to either bring or keep a team in St Louis for the stadium will be completed, Now, the person that should have been there was Comptroller Darlene Green who holds the pursestrings on the funding for the stadium to be built.

ADD: The St Louis Rams played their last home game  for the 2015Season at Edward Jones Dome on Sunday Nov 1. They played against the 49ers--27 to 6
